President Joe Biden, 79, likes to boast about his coalition against 69-year-old Russian President Vladimir Putin’s war in Ukraine, getting the European Union [EU] to join in on crippling economic sanctions. But Biden tried to get China and India to join in condemning Putin without success, not because either country agrees with the war but doesn’t want to jump on the anti-Putin bandwagon. China’s 68-year-old Foreign Minister Wang Yi said the Ukraine War was actually a consequence of NATO encroachment on the Russian Federation, something Biden rejects out-of-hand. Biden wanted India to join his condemnation of Putin, something 71-year-old Indian Prime Minister Narenda Modia rejected as counterproductive. What’s become obvious to almost everyone is that Biden runs the Ukraine War out of the White House, essentially a U.S. proxy war against the Russian Federation.

Many other countries also take a more cautious approach condemning Putin, largely because of business ties with the Russian Federation, but, more importantly, because it takes two sides to tango. Biden thinks everyone should support his proxy war against the Russian Federation, emptying the U.S. treasury to supply endless cash and arms to Ukraine. In a colossal faux pas, Biden said March 28 that he couldn’t imagine Putin staying in power. Now the world knows that the Ukraine War isn’t about Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, it’s about Biden’s attempt to get rid of Putin. Putin understands this and will continue to battle the U.S. on Ukrainian soil, not relenting one bit, despite White House claims that Ukraine is winning the war. If you listen to the White House narrative, Ukraine’s has beaten back the Russian assault, even though Ukraine remains in ruins.

White House officials condemn any country not willing to go public rebuking Putin for invading Ukraine Feb. 24. Hungary’s 59-year-old President Viktor Orban irked the White House saying he condemns the Ukraine War but thinks both sides must resolve their differences. Ukraine’s 44-year-old President Volodymyr Zelensky heaped massive criticism on Orban for not condemning Putin directly. “Time for Ukrainian leaders to stop their insults directed at Hungary and acknowledge the will of the Hungarian people,” said Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijarto, celebrating Orban’s landslide election for a fourth term. Zelensky wants all European countries to jump on the Anti-Putin bandwagon and commit troops to Ukraine. So far, not one EU or NATO country, including the U.S., has committed one soldier to Ukraine., hoping to avoid WW III on the European Continent.

Zelensky said Orban should choose between Moscow and the rest of the world. Zelensky doesn’t acknowledge that China, India and Saudi Arabia take a neutral position on the war, hoping to remain neutral enough to engage in ceasefire talks. “This is not our war, so we want to and will stay out of it,” said Szijarto, recognizing the will of the Hungarian people to elect Orban for a fourth term. Zelensky mentions nothing about China, India and Saudi Arabia, not condemning Putin, because they see the war as two-sided. Zelensky doesn’t want to admit he antagonized Putin begging for NATO membership, supplying Ukraine with unlimited arms and cash. Orban and Zzijarto prefer to have the war end but won’t act like Biden condemning Putin for invading Ukraine Feb. 24. Orban sees the downside of U.S. and EU sanctions, leaving the U.S. and EU in the worst inflation since 1982.

Biden’s White House has done a good PR job condemning Putin in the court of public opinion. So the fact that China, India and Saudi Arabia do not condemn Putin reflects the fact that other countries disagree about the origin of the Ukraine War. Biden insists that the Feb. 24 war was “unprovoked and unjustified.” China’s Foreign Minister said that Beijing sees NATO encroachment on Russian National Security as the cause of the Feb. 24 invasion. Biden asked Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi’s de facto leader, to increase oil production to accommodate the U.S. ban on Russian oil. When Bin Salman refused, the White House put him in the same category as Putin. When it comes to China, Biden has insulted Beijing so much after taking office that he has no one in Beijing backing his position. China wants the war to end but won’t join Biden’s PR war against Putin.

Every EU leader has been cautious not to join Biden’s PR war against Putin. Only 57-year-old U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson speaks with the same contempt as Biden about Putin. No EU leader has rudely condemned Putin for the Ukraine War because they’d like to play a role in bringing the conflict to an end. Biden’s says his “moral outrage” is more important to him than ending the war, leaving Ukrainian cities and towns in rubble. Instead of condemning foreign leaders that don’t join Biden’s vitriolic approach to diplomacy, Biden and Zelensky should take advantage of the goodwill needed to negotiate a workable ceasefire agreement. As long as Biden and Zelensky talk about war crimes or prosecuting Putin in the International Criminal Court [ICC], the war will continue to wreak havoc on Ukraine. Biden and Zelensky need to take the Istanbul talks seriously to find an acceptable solution for ending the conflict, working on a practical compromise.
