Democrats and the press would love to run the bogeyman again, knowing they’d have a real shot of mobilizing the base should Republicans be foolish enough to run the 75-year-old former president. President Joe Biden, 79, has told confidents he plans to run in 2024, despite his abysmal approval ratings that, of course, could improve in the next two years. While an aged Biden would have a good shot of beating Trump again, chances are he would not run well against any other GOP candidate, especially a younger candidate. “The only thing I’ve heard him say is he’s planning on running again,” said former Sen. Despite teasing that he’s considering another presidential run, the truth is Trump doesn’t know whether the donor class can get behind his candidate . If the GOP runs another candidate in t 2024 they want to make sure they can beat the Democrat incumbent. With the press behind Biden’s presidency, Biden has still watched his approval ratings tank, in large part because he can’t talk coherently in public without making embarrassing gaffes. Biden’s approval ratings now equals Trump, except for the fact the entire press is behind his presidency. When you look at Joes’s 41% aggregate approval ratings, it really no different that Trump’s. Had Trump had the media behind him in 2020, he would have enjoyed approval ratings in the 50%-60% range, not the 41% aggregate in his last year. One thing’s known for sure about Trump, he’s despised by the media for spending most of his presidency fighting the media establishment. No one in the media likes to have a president call out their credibility but that’s exactly what Trump did. Recent reports from Special Counsel John Durham (R-Conn.) show that the Obama White House, Democrat Party and national security agencies all conspired to keep Trump from winning a second term. Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton bought-and-paid for the bogus Steele Dossier that linked Trump to the Russian government. All the media and Democratic Party still talks like Trump had ties to the Kremlin, despite having those links and speculation completely discredited.
No one in the Democrat-controlled press has admitted that they enabled Hillary’s political dirty tricks campaign against Trump. All the mainstream press, led by the New York Times, Washington Post and CNN, spread the Steele Dossier’s fabrications to help Hillary get elected in 2012. Years removed from the campaign, it looks a lot like the Democrat Party and corrupt media joined forces to defeat Trump in 2020. While many of Trump’s constituents would like him to run again in 2024, there’s simply too much at stake for the House, Senate and public to take another chance on Trump. Democrats would be thrown for a loop in 2024 if they ran an alternative candidate. Democrats and the media would welcome Trump for running again because they’re confident history would repeat itself. Democrat donors hope the Trump runs again in 2024 because they think they can beat him for a second time.
Whatever nostalgia Republicans for Trump’s presidency, they need to get over it in short order. Democrats and the media would love for the GOP to run Trump again, to make it easy for Democrats in 2024. Any lingering enthusiasm for Trump should be replaced by a sober reality that he’s a terrible candidate, thoroughly denigrated by Democrats and the press in 2020. Republicans have many rising stars who aren’t at the geriatric stage, too old to run for president. “I think no matter who runs, a Democrat beats him,” said Democrat donor Barry Goodman, hoping the Republicans are dumb enough to run Trump. “At the end of the day, people are not going to put that despot in office one more time,” Goodman said, stating why the GOP must have new blood. Goodnan’s dead wrong that no matter who the GOP runs, they’ll be beaten by Biden, wishful thinking knowing Biden’s age and approval ratings.
