House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), 56, asked House and Senate Democrats to fashion consequences for China for unleashing the novel coronavirus from a Wuhan Institute of Virology [WIV] lab. Politicians and the press are divided on whether or not the virus happened naturally in Wuhan or was made in a WIV lab. For the last year-and-a-half, Democrats and the media regurgitated Chinese Communist Party [CCP] propaganda that the virus occurred naturally, at least the current CCP explanation. Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Zhao Linjian said the virus was made in America at Fort Detrick, Maryland, home to the U.S. Army’s bioweapon’s lab, then planted in Wuhan, China in Oct. or Nov. 2019. U.S. lawmakers have to take Lijian’s nonsense into account more than scientists to determine the origin of the virus. Scientists have their political biases just like everyone else.

When 75-year-old President Donald Trump tweeted April 30, 2020 that the deadly novel coronavirus came from a Wuhan lab, Democrats, the press and scientists immediately dismissed Trump’s explanation. Only recently, scientist Alina Chan admitted she was hesitant to give the lab-leak theory any attention in 2020 because Trump was still president. Chan said she didn’t want to appear “racist” by attributing the origin of the virus to a WIV lab. Chan’s admission speaks volumes how scientists are like anyone else, influenced by politics. Now that Trump’s gone, Chan thinks that there’s more credibility to the lab-leak theory. “We need to impose sanctions so that they [China] feel the pain of what they have done,” McCarthy said today at a Capitol press conference. Democrats oppose the lab leak theory because it validates what Trump said over a year ago.

McCarthy and his GOP colleagues Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.), new Republicans Conference Chair Rep. Elise Sefannik and other Republicans think China must be held accountable for the “gain-of-function” experiments on bat-coronaviruses that originated the novel coronavirus that’s infected 180,330,760 and killed 3,906,246 worldwide, 618,153 dead in the U.S. From the outset of the global pandemic, the World Health Organization [WHO] gave China cover, not declaring a global pandemic until March 11, 2020, three months after the infectious disease outbreak ravaged Wuhan, China. WHO’s Director General Tedros Adhanom said Jan. 14, 2020 that there was no “human-to-human” transmission in Wuhan, when corpses were piling up on streets, requiring the city’s 14 crematoriums to run 24/7. Things were so bad, Wuhan authorities banned in-ground funerals, paying for free cremations.

U.S. elected officials continue to rely on the WHO to determine the origin of the deadly novel coronavirus. WHO repeats CCP propaganda, much like Dr. Anthony Fauci, chief of Allergy and Infectious Disease at the National Institutes of Health [NIH]. Fauci says there’s no evidence for a lab-leak theory, but offers zero evidence for the natural occurrence theory. What’s known for sure is that 2002 SARS global pandemic had about 8,000 cases and 700 deaths, in infinitesimal fraction of the cases from the novel corona virus. If SARS CoV-2 evolved “naturally,” how would you account for its extreme contagiousness and lethality? U.S. and Foreign media mention nothing about Chinese President Xi Jinping’s speech to the nation Feb. 14, 2021. Xi told the Ministry of Science and Technology to tighten up biosecurity at China’s microbiology labs. Does that sound like he backed a natural occurrence theory?

WHO’s Director-General Tedros finally declared a global pandemic March 11, 2020, after criticizing Trump in a Feb. 4, 2020 Geneva press conference saying no country should ban flights due to the spread of the novel coronavirus. When 78-year-old President Joe Biden asked Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines to investigate the origin of the virus, Fauci could be heard saying he kept an “open mind.” Well for the past year-and-a-half Fauci backed the WHO’s March 4 report that the lab-leak theory was the least likely scenario for the virus origin. Fauci still says he thinks the vrus occurred naturally but he has no proof or logic. “The world deserves to know the truth,” said Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Tx.), raking Republican on the Foreign Affairs Committee. “We need to find out why because we do not want this to happen again,” something said by all scientists.

On the question of the next global pandemic, some scientists say that it’s inevitable that another infectious disease crisis will strike again. But if the deadly novel coronavirus came from “gain-of-function “ experiments at the WIV, then there’s no way to predict the next global pandemic if WIV chief scientist Shi Zhenli continues “gain-of-function” research on bat-coronaviruses. Fauci funded New York-based EcoHealth Allinace CEO Peter Daszak $3.4 million to study “gain-of-function” research at WIV. Daszak gave WIV over a million dollars to collaborate with other U.S. and foreign scientists. Univ. of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, microbiologist Ralph Baric injected bat-coronaviruses at WIV with Zhengli with Angiotensin II [ACE2], changing the spike protein to easily infect humans. What more do Democrats and the press need to know about the origin of the deadly novel coronavirus?
