Demanding a meeting with President-elect Joe Bide and Vice-president elect Kamala Harris, 36-year-old co-founder of Black Lives Matter [BLM] Patricia Cullers expects payback for marshalling African American support for their big win Nov. 3 against 74-year-old President Donald Trump. Cullers can’t fathom the fact that she doesn’t speak for the entire black community, whose vote would not have gone to Trump under any circumstances. Ctullers’ ego swelled bigger than the Goodyear Blimp, suggesting that without her Biden and Harris would not have beaten Trump. “Without the resounding suppor of Black people, we would be saddled with a very different electoral outcome,” Cullers said. “In short, Black people won this election,” forgetting that African Americans account for no more that 13% of the U.S. population. Cullers wants payback but for what?

BLM wants to take credit for Biden and Harris’ win, when a lot more than African Americans entered into their victory. Trump was beaten by whites, blacks, Latinos, Asian’s, Native Americans and practically every group imaginable, that were fed up with Covid-19, the recession and a general atmosphere that turned sour. Biden beat Trump by about 6 million popular votes and 306-232 Electoral College votes, denying Trump a second term. But for Cullers to think she’s responsible for Biden’s victory is preposterous, indicative of BLM’s grandiosity, after a summer of riots around the country. “Alongside Black-led organizations around the nation, Black Lives Matter invested heavily in this election. Vote and Organize became our motto, and our electoral justice efforts reached more than 60-million voters.” You could easily argue that BLM took votes away from Biden and Harris.

Cullers has no filter nor subtlety demanding that BLM get paid back from the Biden-Harris administration for their activist organization for all they did. Cullers can’t imagine that scores, perhaps hundreds, of other groups playeda a bigger role in turning votes away from Trump and to Biden and Harris. “We want something for our vote. We are requesting a meeting with you both to discuss the expectations that we have for your administration and the commitments that must be made to Black people,” Cullers said. Cullers has no clue that the quid pro quo she expects could get Biden and Harris impeached. They weren’t elected to represent one group over another. That’s not the way in works in American politics. Whatever help BLM lent to the campaign, if any, it certainly can’t expect or demand a payback because the militant group preferred Biden and Harris over Trump in 2020.

No president or vice president is beholden to any one group, expecting a payback for offering their support in a U.S. election. “We want to be heard and our agenda prioritized,” Cullers said, referring to efforts to de-fund the police, pass slavery reparations, more funding for the African American community, etc. “We issue these expectations not just because Black people are the most consistent and reliable voters for Democrats, but also because Black people are truly living in a crisis in a nation that was built on subjugation,” Cullers said, giving her sophomoric lecture on racism. Cullers knows that any Black person in America has the same opportunity to succeed under the law as whites or any other minority group. “Up until this point, the United State has refused directly to reckon with the way that it devalues Black people and devalues our lives,” Cullers said.

Cullers talks like she lecturing high school or undergraduates about Black history or community organizing. “This cannot continue. Black people can neither afford to live through the vitriol of a Trump-like presidency, nor through indifference of a Democrat-controlled government that refuses to wrestle with its most egregious and damnable shame,” Cullers wrote. BLM can’t possibly think that a duly elected government can over-represent or even offer a quid pro quo to any one group, no matter what their agenda. Cullers talks as if the nation is still in the Antebellum South where Blacks were still slaves or indentured servants. Her take on Black civil rights is outrageous, no matter what her personal frustrations. She knows all about the Civil Rights Movement that eliminated discrimination against Black people that was retained in certain parts of the country.

Cullers and her co-founder Alicia Garza gave Biden and Harris everything they need to know about BLM, completely misunderstanding the role of lobbying or non-profit groups in political campaigns. “The first thing, I think, is that we actually do have an ideological frame. Myself and Alicia Garza in particular are trained organizers,” Cullers said, referring to BLM co-founder Alicia Garza. “We are trained Marxists. We are super-versed on, sort of, ideological theories. And I think that what we really tried to do is build a movement that could be utilized by many, many Black people,” Biden and Harris have to horrified by what Cullers has admitted but cleverly disguised. That BLM is a radical communist group, seeking the fantasy of egalitarian life under Marxism. Biden and Harris will be scrutinized closely for any quid pro quo made with BLM before-and-after the 2020 election.
