Democrats and their friends in the press have spawned more fake news, accusing 74-year-old Donald Trump of cutting funding to the U.S. Postal Service to prevents states from delivering-and-returning universal mail-in ballots. While Trump has his own fears based on what happened in the June 23 New York State primary about relying too heavily the USPS, Democrats and the press have crossed the line accusing him and his 63-year-old Postmaster General Louis DeJoy of sabotaging mail delivery. Democrats have promoted Russian hoax-like rumors that DeJoy ordered blue neighborhood mail boxes removed from the streets or shut down automated sorting machines. DeJoy started his job June 16, 2020, having nothing to do with Postal Service plans to improve future efficiencies and cost savings. Democrats and the media have gone wild with unfounded accusations again.

Trump spent most of his first term defending unfounded charges that he conspired with Russia to win the 2016 election. House Democrats led by House Speaker Nancy Pelos (D-Calif.), House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) have staked their reputations on Trump’s collusion with the Kremlin to win the 2016 election. Former 75-year-old FBI Director and Special Counsel Robert Mueller spent 22-monts and $40 million, with 17 career federal prosecutors, investigating claims of Trump’s alleged Russian ties only to find out March 23, 2019 in his 484-page Final Report there weren’t any. Yet Schiff continued to insist on Trump’s collusion with Russia, saying he had proof, even though he never produced it. Now Democrats and the press have charged Trump with more fake allegations of Postal Service tampering.

Trump’s concerns about relying for the Nov. 3 vote on the USPS are real ones, after the Post Service failed to deliver-or-return tens-of-thousands of ballots for the June 23 primary, waiting nearly two months, still not knowing the outcome. Whether that forecasts the future is anyone’s guess. What’s known for sure is how voting has taken place for generations, with secretaries of states around the country setting up polling places to collect ballots for machine-or-hand counting depending on the precinct. Letting the USPS handle all the ballots, roughly 130 million, puts the Nov. 2 presidential election into unknown territory. “No, we’re not tampering,” Trump told Fox News. “We want to make it run efficiently, run good. We want to make it run for less money, much better, always taking care of out postal workers,” Trump said, noting 17 years of losses compiled by the USPS.

Filing suit in federal court in Lower Manhattan, Democrats allege without evidence that Trump and DeJoy are tampering with the USPS to interfere with the Nov. 3 presidential election. Democrats demand the USPS receive whatever funding is needed to manage what expects to be a large volume of mail-in ballots this fall. Trump advocates more in-person voting, even extending voting hours perhaps to more than one day. Trump and DeJoy’s desire to reform the USPS has nothing to do with interfering with the delivery of mail, quite the contrary, to improve the system. Democrats’ accusations about some covert plot to sabotage the Post Service is no different than the Russian hoax or constant rumors that Trump was going to fire Robert Mueller or, more recently, refusing to leave the White House if he loses the election or More fakes news hurts American democracy.

House Democrats plan to introduce legislation that prohibits any changes to the UDPS, maintaining the same levels authorized by Jan. 1. House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Il,) expected Democrats to pass a bill by Saturday, Aug. 21, promoting their new conspiracy theory about Postal Service sabotage. “There is evidence that making mail-in balloting more difficult may be one of the motivations for the changes instituted at the post office,” said Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.), one of Trump’s impeachment managers. Jeffries knows, as CNN reported, that DeJoy joined the USPS after all the recommended changes were made, yet continues to spew baseless propaganda. To Jeffries and other Democrats it’s all about the accusation, hoping to get enough voters to believe his nonsense before Nov. 3. There is not only no evidence for Jeffries charges, it’s part of Democrats’ campaign strategy.

Democrats have been making up stuff about Trump for the last four years and they’re not about to change anytime soon. When you’ve got 95% of the U.S. media backing defamatory accusations, it’s bound to have an impact on voters. Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ak.) called Democrat allegations about the Post Service “conspiracy” theories. But as with the Russian hoax, they’re far more than conspiracy theories, they’re carefully orchestrated disinformation designed to buffalo the public into believing a false narrative. “Their unfounded hysteria over the Post Service may be the craziest one yet,” Cotton tweeted, dumbfounded by how far Democrat and the press go to attack Trump. Today’s news is built off pure fabrication, organized around a political agenda to see Trump defeated in November. Facts no longer count to Democrats and the press as they make up their narrative to change horses.
