LOS ANGELES.–House Democrats have freaked out over billionaire Elon Musk’s influence on 78-year-old President Donald Trump, already influence the recent stopgap spending bill that recently passed keeping the government running for the next three months. “Can you imagine what the next two years will be like if every time that Congress works it will and then there’s a tweet or from an individual who has no official portfolio, who threatens members of The Republican side with a primary, and they succumb,” said Rep. Riche Neal (D-Mass.). Democrats and Republics House members face challenges every two years, something that goes with the territory of serving the House. Musk gets more attention because he can put his money where his mouth is, funding alternative candidates if they run resistance to Trump’s policies. Primary challenges are common in most congressional districts.
Must said he would “be funding moderate candidates in heavily Democrat districts, so that the country can get rid of those who don’t represent them, like his jack—.” Musk wasn’t happy with Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.) who said she should be kicked out office. DeLauro accused Musk of changing the stopgap funding bill to gain personal advantage with his business ties to China. DeLauro claims the original bill Musk objected to restrictions on China investment, especially in the AI and technology sectors. Whether the original bill would have hurt Musk’s investments in China is anyone’s guess. It’s certain allegations made by DeLauro that Musk changed to the bill for his own advantage is preposterous. In the bill that eventually passed the restriction on AI and technology investment was removed leading Democrats to believe Musk did it for his own self-interests.
Rep. Jim McGovern (D-Mass.) accused Musk of self-dealing when he objected to the bipartisan stopgap bill eventually changed to not restrict AI or technology transfers with China. McGovern said the removed provision “would have made it easier to keep cutting-edge AI and quantum computing tech—as well as jobs—in America.” “But Elon had a problem.” McGovern makes it a federal case when it’s nothing more than simple negotiation. Whether the provision removed benefited Musk or not, McGovern goes over the top with his accusations. “His bottom line depends on staying the China’s good graces. He [Musk] wants to build an AI data center there too—which could endanger U.S. security. He’s bee bending over backwards to ingratiate himself to Chinese leaders,” McGovern said, in the same kind of demonization he’s makes about Trump’s Russian ties.
McGovern, Neal and DeLauro give the same nonsense reasons about Russia, that opposing the Ukraine War proves that you’re a traitor because you don’t back Biden’s warmongering. Accusing Musk of self-dealing is foolish, when many other U.S. companies, not just Musk’s companies, depend on cooperative, pragmatic relations with China. If Biden or House Democrats had their way, they would do the same thing to U.S.-Chinese relations what they’ve done with Russia. Unlike Russia, U.S. businesses have close economic ties to China, including some of the largest U.S. corporations like Apple Inc. If you listen to McGovern, you’d think that any accommodation to China furthers communist aims to dominate world economic markets. China understands better than U.S. lawmakers that pragmatic, cooperative relations are imperative for all.
House Democrats and the press want to besmirch Trump or his advisers before they take office Jan. 20, antagonizing future voters, considering eventually who to vote for in 2016. Democrats’ worst nightmare is that Trump succeeds in improving the U.S. economy and ending reckless and wasteful foreign wars. When you listen to Congressional Democrats, it’s treason to get along with Russia, China, North Korea or any other U.S. adversary. Congressional Democrats need to develop some of Trump and Musk’s international skills of getting along with U.S. adversaries, only setting limits when necessary that helps U.S. trading posture. DeLauro’s accusation that the revised bill was tweaked for the purpose of benefitting Musk’s business interests in China is another reckless smear. Democrats have nothing left after Nov. 5 other than smearing Trump, his Cabinet and advisers.
U.S. business interest overseas requires the U.S. to get along with foreign adversaries especially if they benefit U.S. interests in China, Russia or any other place. House Democrats need to stop demonizing Musk in the latest witch hunt to get back at Trump because they lost the Nov. 5 election. Democrats learned nothing from the 2024 presidential election that voters resent an egregiously biased press pushing Democrats candidates on the public. Since the media won’t stop backing Democrat candidates, voters can no longer trust the mainstream news to do anything but gaslight voters. Accusing Musk of manipulating the stopgap bill to benefit his own business interests in China hits a new low. Voters want Trump to surround himself with the world’s smartest and most accomplished people. Musk is nothing but a role model for anyone seeking the American dream.
