Former Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele-turned Trump- hater slammed 59-year-old Rep. Jim Jordan’s (R-Ohio) Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government. Jordan, who chairs the House Judiciary Committee, investigates the use of federal government agencies to persecute Republicans, whether in office or not. Jordan responded to 72-year-old Special Counsel John Durham’s (R-Conn.) 305-page final report looking into the origin of the FBI’s counterintelligence investigation into 76-year-old President Donald Trump and his 2016 campaign. Former FBI Director James Comey, 62, opened up a counterintelligence investigation on Trump and his campaign in July 2016, months before the Nov. 3, 2016 presidential election. Steele and other Trump-haters don’t want to admit the government illegally spied on his campaign.
Jordan took on the unenviable task of using his oversight capacity as Judiciary Chairman to determine the extent of corruption at the Department of Justice and the FBI when Comey decided, under political pressure, to open up a counterintelligence investigation on Trump and his 2016 campaign. Durham completed his 305-page final report May 16, concluding that the FBI had no probable cause to open up a counterintelligence investigation. Durham’s report corroborates the Dec. 9, 2019 Department of Justice Inspector General’s Report by Michael Horowitz concluding that the DOJ and FBI did not follow proper procedures in investigating Trump and his campaign. Steele and other Trump-hating Republicans and Democrats deny that the Obama White House weaponized the DOJ and FBI to help Hillary get elected. Using the DOJ and FBI for political reasons is outrageous.
Speaking on the ultra-liberal MSNBC “Charles Blow Show,” Steele said Republicans weaponized government, denying that Trump and his campaign was the victim of a deep state government conspiracy. Steele is the perfect person to slam Trump, a former Republican National Committee Chairman who has credibility with MSNBC’s liberal audience. But Steele and Blow would stand on their heads to deny that Trump was victim of an egregious government conspiracy in 2016 to get Hillary elected. Comey was given former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton’s paid opposition research, the so-called Steele dossier, a fabricated collection of rubbish to discredit Trump’s campaign and get Hillary elected. Liberals like Steele and Blow do everything to cover-up the egregious abuse of the DOJ and FBI under the Obama administration, all to help Hillary get elected president.
Jordan’s doing his job providing oversight about Democrats’ abuse of government agencies for purely political purposes. Imagine that the late Sen. John McCain (R-Az.) took Hillary bogus dossier to 67-year-old former CIA Director John Brennan, who in turn gave the Steele dossier to Comey. Comey used the Steele dossier as probable cause to open up his illegal counterintelligence investigation on Trump and his 2016 campaign. Democrats and press are committed to covering up the deep state conspiracy to sabotage Trump’s 2016 campaign. Steelle, another Trump-hating Republican, continues the cover-up, blaming Republicans for weaponizing government. “Any time Jordan opens his mouth he proves that point. The reality is there’s no substance to any of this. This is just the dog and pony show. It’s like the worst you can come up with in the world where you can just make stuff up,” Steele said.
Steele and Blow are part of the conspiracy to sabotage Trump’s 2016 campaign and once president to undermine Trump’s office. Steele says there’s no substance to Comey using Hillary’s fake dossier to justify opening up a counterintelligence investigation into Trump. Steele knows perfectly well that the Obama administration targeted Trump in 2016 to help Hillary get elected. Former Atty. Gen. Bill Barr said April 10, 2019 that the FBI and other intelligence agencies spied on Trump’s 2016 campaign. Comey acted dumbfounded about Barr’s remarks, saying he didn’t know that the former Attorney General was talking about. Steelel, as a Republican Trump hater, is welcomed on MSNBC or CNN to spew his nonsense, giving the liberal press more cover for a devastating report by John Durham. Durham said the FBI and DOJ did not follow proper procedures to open an investigation.
Steele has a lot of nerve going on CNBC to denounce the four-year-old Durham Report that actually convicted a deep state Attorney Kevn Clinesmith for deleting important information from a FISA court application to obtain a warrant to wiretap former Trump foreign policy aid Carter Page. So, according to Steele this is just “making stuff up.” “So, you’re trying to connect dots that do not exist,” Steele said, denying, like the New York Times and Washington Post, that the DOJ and FBI used fake probable cause from Hillary’s Steele dossier to investigate Trump. “You’re grasping about little lines of this and a little line over here about something else, and none of it ever comes together,” Steele said. Committed to the deep state cover-up, Steele won’t admit that Trump was targeted by the DOJ and FBI to sabotage his campaign. If that’s not weaponizing the DOJ and FBI, then what is?
