Meeting at the Munich Security Conference today, members of the G7, the world’s most advanced democracies, threw their unwavering support to Ukraine’s 43-year-old President Volodymyr Zelensky. Yet the U.S., Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan the U.K. refused to stand up to 69-year-old Russian President Vladimir Putin, all saying that they would not commit troops to defend Ukraine in the event of a Russian invasion. According to 79-year-old President Joe Biden an invasion is a fait’accompli, it’s written in stone, a done deal, something so bizarre it defies explanation. Biden has no intel from an accredited U.S. or foreign intel agency, like the CIA, Israeli Mossad, German Intelligence [BND], U.K’s MI6, French Intelligence [DGSE], yet makes sweeping statements that Putin plans to invade Ukraine any day. Where does Biden get his intel to say what Putin will do?
Biden and his national security team have been engaged in Black Ops designed to spread propaganda and disinformation against Putin and the Russian Federation. Biden has no intel to base his wild proclamations about an “imminent” Russian invasion, only fabricated intel from a devious communication team, hoping the propaganda throws Putin off his game. “We reiterate our unwavering commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders and territorial waters,” read the G7 statement. When Putin invaded Ukraine’s Crimean Peninsula March 1, 2014, where was the G7 then when Russian tanks rolled into Crimea? Former President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden did nothing, other than jump up-and-down. Obama did nothing because he authorized a CIA-backed coup to topple Kiev’s Kremlin-backed government.
So when it comes to NATO and the trans-Atlantic alliance, why won’t they commit troops to defend Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity? Biden admitted as much in a bizarre Feb. 10 interview with NBC’s Lester Holt.. Biden said we can’t start shooting at Russia because it would create WW III. So, all the backing the G7 gives Ukraine is purely symbolic because the European Union [EU] wants no part of war with the Russian Federation. “We reaffirm the right of any sovereign state to determine its own future and security arrangement. We commend Ukraine’s posture of restraint in the face of continued provocations and efforts at destabilization,” read the G7 statement. What more provocative can than Biden’s daily accusations about Putin invading Ukraine? If the G7 reaffirms a sovereign state’s right to determine its own security, why has NATO refused to allow Ukraine membership over the last eight years?
Putin has expressed openly his problem with the U.S. and NATO supplying Ukraine with copious lethal weapons. G7 insists that Punt’s provoking war because he has over 100,000 troops in Russia near the Ukraine border. But Putin is not the one supplying lethal arms to countries sitting on Europe’s border. It’s the U.S. and NATO supplying dangerous arms for what purpose? G7 calls Putin’s troop build-up in Russia a provocation to Ukraine but not the U.S. and NATO’s arms shipments to the Kiev government. “We call on Russia to choose the path of diplomacy, to de-escalate tensions, to substantively withdraw military forces from proximity to Ukraine’s borders and to fully abide by international commitments including on risk reduction and transparency of military activities,” G7 said. Arming Ukraine with lethal weapons doesn’t follow any “international commitments.”
So the G7 expects Putin to de-escalate its troop movement when the U.S. and NATO continue to supply Ukraine offensive and defensive weapons. Putin wants legally-binding security guarantees to balance U.S. and NATO’s encroachment on the Russian border, especially arming Ukraine to the teeth. Putin can only conclude that Ukraine has in mind to move militarily as some point to reclaim the Crimean Peninsula. Putin’s Sevastopol naval base, housing Russia’s warm water fleet, was threatened when a Feb. 22, 2014 CIA-backed coup toppled the Kremlin-friendly government of Viktor Yanukovych. “We will judge Russia by its deeds,” said the G7. Putin certainly judges NATO and the U.S. by its deeds, supplying Ukraine with lethal weapons. If the U.S., NATO and G7 can’t see the threat posed to the Russian Federation, then a diplomatic solution won’t be found.
Biden has accused Putin of staging a “false flag” operation in the Donbass region of Eastern Ukraine. Russian-speaking separatist communities of Donetsk and Luhansk want nothing to do with Kiev’s pro-Western Kiev government. Putin didn’t start the problem, the CIA-backed coup changed the landscape for Russian speaking communities in Eastern Ukraine. Kiev says that eight years of fighting have killed over 14,000 Ukrainian, something not confirmed by any human rights organization. But whatever the conflict in Donbass, the G7 can’t just blame Putin for the conflict. Denis Pushilin, head of the Peoples Republic of Donetsk, said the Ukraine army has been shelling Donetsk, something Biden calls a “false flag” operation. Putin hasn’t taken Biden’s bait and invaded Ukraine because controlling Donbass does nothing for Mother Russia. Putin’s smart enough to know Biden’s game.
