When 68-year-old Chinese President Xi Jinping met with 69-year-old Russian President Xi Jinping before the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics, the U.S. State Department thinks Xi should have pushed diplomacy in Ukraine. U.S. top State Department official in East Asia Daniel Kritenbrink thought if Xi were part of “responsible powers” he would have lecture Putin on diplomacy. How much diplomacy comes from the U.S. State Department when 79-year-old President Joe Biden boycotted the Beijing Winter Olympics, slapping China in the face. Where’s the awareness by Kritenbrink that his employer, led by Biden, wrecked U.S.-Chinese relations, constantly rubbing China’s nose in what the U.S. calls “genocide” against Muslim Uyghurs in Xinjiang Province in Western China. So, when Krenbrink thinks China should promote the U.S. position, who’s he kidding?

Biden, since taking office,Jan. 20, 2021, has done practically everything to alienate China, slamming Beijing at an Anchorage summit March 18, 2021 for the Uyghur genocide, crack down in Hong Kong and harassment in Taiwan. “The meeting should have provided China the opportunity to encourage Russia to pursue diplomacy and de-escalation in Ukraine,” Kritenbrink said. Kritenbrink knows the deteriorated nature of U.S.-Chinese relations, all because Biden chose to rip China from Day One. Whatever the State Department thinks China should do, what’s the State Department doing to mend fences with China? Even NBC, who’s hosting the Winter Olympics, couldn’t resist having its 55-year-old host Mike Tirico slam China before the Opening Ceremony about China’s alleged human rights abuses. China’s in no mood to help the U.S. do anything in Ukraine or elsewhere.

If the U.S. State Department under Biden operates with such hostility toward Russia, how can any diplomat think that a foreign leader should do the U.S. bidding? Kritenbrink knows that China agrees with Putin that the U.S., not Russia, is the aggressor in the Ukraine situation. Putin has told the world that he has no intent of invading Ukraine. But Western governments and the press are relentless insisting that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is “imminent.” Well, since Biden declared at a press conference three weeks ago that an invasion was “imminent,” he got push back by 43-year-old Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Zelensky told Biden that he doesn’t see an “imminent” Russian invasion at all, asking Biden to stop hyping an invasion. So why has the White House pushed the idea of a Russian invasion? Most likely because Biden plays a propaganda game to get Putin to stand down.

Biden’s hostile relations to both Russia and China have pushed both communist superpowers into a strategic and military alliance. Xi was busy working out the terms of a $16 billion energy deal with the Russian Federation, in no mood to give the U.S. any aid-and-comfort. Beijing officials couldn’t be happy listening to Tirico slam China for human rights abuses on worldwide TV. “If Russia further invades Ukraine and China looks the other way, it suggest that China is willing to tolerate or tacitly support Russia’s efforts to coerce Ukraine, even when they embarrass Beijing, harm European security and risk global peace and economic stability,” Kritenbrink said. Publicly flogging Russia and China is exactly what’s wrong with the U.S. State Department under Biden. Kritenbrink can’t possibly be authorized by Secretary of State Tony Blinken to openly insult U.S. adversaries.

Biden chose to slap Xi Jinping in the face boycotting the Beijing Winter Olympics. If Biden wants to be in the mix, working to improve U.S.-China relations, why would he diplomatically boycott the games? So when Xi gives Putin VIP treatment, including inking a multibillion dollar energy deal, the State Department insults Xi and Putin. Xi has every right to back Russia’s position in Ukraine, with the U.S. and NATO supplying Zelensky with offensive and defensive weapons. Putin’s troop build up near the Ukraine border is not about “invasion,” it’s about sending the U.S. and NATO a loud message to stop arming Ukraine to the teeth. Why would Xi ever support the U.S. and NATO arming Ukraine? Only the White House and State Department would be so out of touch with reality, blaming everything on Putin. White House and State Department officials make a bad situation worse.

Biden’s State Department is out of control, making one foreign policy blunder after another, leaving U.S. national security in the worst shape in generations. With all the belligerent rhetoric coming from the White House, the world is closer to the brink than at any time since WW II. Biden’s troop deployments to Eastern European countries sends the exact wrong message to the Kremlin. Biden thinks he’s sending a deterrent message but has only antagonized Russia and China. De-fusing the Ukraine situation isn’t rocket science. Putin wants some minor concessions from the U.S. and NATO. Keep Ukraine from NATO membership and stop supplying Ukraine with lethal weapons. Yet Biden has completely ignored Putin’s requests for security guarantees. When you look at who’s been aggressive, even 44-year-old French President Emmanuel Macron wants the U.S. to tone down the hostile rhetoric.
