Spending eight hours today hazing 74-year-old former President Donald Trump, Democrats’ nine House impeachment managers played unseen graphic video today hoping to outrage a few Republicans to join Democrats to convict Trump. But what Republicans saw was the anti-Trump media in full force righteously condemning the former president but not offering any facts that anyone didn’t already know. GOP Senators have heard the liberal press condemn Trump for four years, including the Jan. 6 riot and mob science at the Capitol.
Democrats, Republicans and independents all agree that the Jan. 6 riot and mob scene was sickening for all to see. No one disagrees that the violence and anarchy at the Capitol offended everyone’s sensibilities.

Where Democrats and Republicans disagree is whether or not Trump committed “incitement of insurrection.” Democrat impeachment managers can’t get over the fact that Trump never told anyone in his one-million-strong Jan. 6 audience to break the law or protest violently. Whoever was in Trump’s audience that planned a post-speech attack on the Capitol, planned the event before Trump uttered one word. House impeachment managers want to blame Trump for “incitement of insurrection” when he neither engaged in incitement nor insurrection. Democrats had accused Trump since the 2016 of stirring up violence at his campaign rallies, the same complaints they made of his Jan. 6 speech. When Trump said to protesters “you have to fight like hell,” it was no different than any other campaign speech Trump gave over the last five years. Yet because a riot occurred Jan. 6, Democrats now accused Trump of “incitement of insurrection,” pulling the words from Article 1 impeachment authority.

Republicans agree with Democrats that they never want to see another ugly mob scene at the Capitol. But they disagree about what caused troublemakers to go over the deep end and start the riot. Democrats have made a good case to the liberal press that agrees 100% that Trump incited the Jan. 6 riot. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) didn’t care whether the impeachment article against Trump was based on any facts, only her last chance to haze Trump one more time before he falls off the political map. Democrats best revenge against Trump was winning the Nov. 8, 2020 presidential election, using unconventional methods. Yet breaking tradition using universal mail-in ballots and changing election laws to collect, count and tally the votes created controversy. Democrats and press keep repeating the mantra that “Nov. 8 was a free-and-fair election.

Anyone that challenges the Democrat and press narrative is demonized as a traitor, for not accepting the Nov. 8, 2020 election results. Trump will never accept the results because Democrats deviated from past electoral history to use universal mail-in ballots. Democrats and the press are the first to say “there was no evidence of election fraud,” with Trump’s legal team losing all their court challenges. But Texas legal consultant Constitutional Law Professor John Eastman admitted in his brief to the Supreme Court that universal mail-in ballots made it impossible to detect election fraud. So when Democrats and press repeat the Nov. 8, 2020 election was “free-and-fair” they can’t reconcile the fact that universal mail-in ballots had never been used in U.S. history. Democrats played compelling video today of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot but they didn’t make the case that Trump was responsible.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, told Trump today that “it’s over,” his acquittal is guaranteed. “I don’t think there’s anything that’s been said by either side that has changed any votes,s said Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Ok.), echoing the sentiments of his GOP colleagues. Trump’s legal team hasn’t even presented their case and GOP senators see nothing compelling in Democrats’ arguments. Nine Democrat House managers have repeated exactly the same things, over-and-over, leaving Republicans ready for a vote. Democrats and the media got their show trial but Republicans senators have seen nothing to change any votes. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) got her wish to lash out at Trump one more time but with the same results as the last impeachment trial. Pelosi thought things would be different this time around.

With Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts sitting this one out, it left only the most partisan Democrats thinking the impeachment trial was legitimate. Roberts sat it out because Trump is no longer in office, a prerequisite for any impeachment trial. Yet six Republican senators joined Democrats in letting the trial proceed. Impeaching Trump for a second time shows that Pelosi has abused her Article 1 impeachment authority turning it into a way of punishing the former president. Trump’s attorneys don’t have to convince too many GOP senators of anything tomorrow and will likely conclude their defense quickly. “This case is over,” Graham said, telling the truth, something the liberal press refuses to do. Trump’s enemies in the press and Democrat can’t get enough of hazing Trump, enjoying all the time in front of the cameras.
