Acknowledging no bounce from last week’s virtual Democrat National Convention, 77-year-old former Vice President and Democrat nominee Joe Biden’s campaign lashed out today, hoping to stop what looks like momentum building in Trump’s campaign. Publishing Biden campaign’s response on NBC, it speaks volumes that the campaign and NBC are virtually interchangeable. “President Trump’s RNC is an alternative reality,” said Biden Deputy Campaign Manager Kate Bedingfield, realizing that things are starting to slip. What’s 74-year-old President Donald Trump supposed to do, validate the DNC’s version of reality. Of course the RNC would be an alternative reality, not because it’s wrong but because Trump was so much demonized at the DNC convention it made zero sense. DNC officials spent four days blaming Trump for the coronavirus global pandemic.

Democrats decided long before the convention that blaming Trump for Covid-19 and the economic fallout was their best strategy heading into the Nov. 3 election. When you talk about “alternative reality,” what rational person thinks that Trump caused the coronavirus or, in some wild stretch of the imagination, is responsible for the death toll in the U.S.? Democrats‘ alternative reality was if Biden or Harris were in the White House, the U.S. would not have the virus or death toll. Talk about hindsight, where’s the evidence that things would be different? “Donald Trump’s continual refusal to take this virus seriously has given the United States the worst outbreak in the world and his convention’s refusal to come to grip with reality or acknowledge the magnitude of the loss is a stark reminder to Americans of his complete failure to lead,” Bedinigfield said, reciting the DNC’s talking points.

It’s astonishing that the DNC rebuttal to the RNC is simply reciting their own talking points. Why should any voter believe the DNC? It makes zero sense that Biden or Harris would have done any better job managing the virus or fallout in the U.S. economy. Judging by what Biden said the other day, he would continue to wreak damage by shutting down the U.S. economy if told to do so by medical experts. Bedingfield finds herself with that sinking feeling, knowing she got Joe no bounce out of the DNC convention, now watching Trump defend his record. “No plan for overcoming the pandemic,” said Bedingfield, referring to the RNC convention. What roils Democrats is that Covid-19 numbers are starting to drop in hot spots around the country, especially the Southwest and West Coast. What happens to Democrats if the Covid-19 crisis begins to resolve itself before the elelction?

Bedingfield can’t possibly think that the RNC accepts the DNC’s talking points, especially blaming Trump for the Covid-19 crisis in the U.S. or economic problems. Democrats have spent years defining Trump as a traitor, alleging ties to the Kremlin to win the 2016 election. When that was debunked by 75-year-old former Special Counsel Robert Mueller March 23, 20190, Democrats looked for anything impeachable. Spending four nights last week blaming Trump for over 180,000 deaths in the U.S. due to Covid-19, Democrat have once again started a new conspiracy theory. “Las night’s incoherent charade was sad, under-whelming and devoid of vision to the point that it bordered on self-parody,” Biden’s campaign said in a statement. Sounding more amateur than ever, the Biden campaign finds itself watching Trump rehab himself from last week’s hate orgy against Trump.

Instead of letting the RNC send their own message, the DNC felt obliged to refute everything coming from the convention because they know its winning votes. If trends continue, Biden will continue to surrender his once double-digit lead. Unlike Trump, Biden’s the last one his campaign wants speaking out, fearing more voters will see his obvious limitations. Calling RNC speakers “obvious lie after obvious lie,” Bedingfield doesn’t know what to do to derail the Trump train, now starting to pick up steam. Former 2016 72-year-old Democrat nominee Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said August 24 that Biden should not concede if he loses the election. Only days before that, Hillary as saying Donald would not concede the election if he loses. Democrats don’t know how to respond once the Trump campaign fights back with its own narrative heading into Nov. 3.

Watching his once untouchable lead shrink, Biden’s campaign has started to panic, not sure how to respond to Trump’s RNC convention. Trump’s spent considerable time refuting the DNC narrative that Trump’s responsible for the Covid-19 crisis and economic fallout. RNC has reminded voters that Trump did everything possible to slow the spread of the virus in the United States but ultimately had little control over what happens to the virus in the country. Democrat overplayed their hand, blaming Trump for the coronvirus and the economic fallout. Without any plan other than mandating nationwide masks or raising taxes, Biden’s campaign put all their eggs in one basket. If Covid-19 mitigates and the economy improves before the election, Democrats wind up behind the Eight Ball. Signs of both happening already neutralized any bounce for Biden, shrinking his once double-digit lead.
