Partially retired from his leading role on 74-year-old President Donald Trump’s coronavirus AKA SARS CoV-2 or Covid-19, 80-year-old Dr. Anthony Fauci, the grandpa media darling because of his willingness to denounce the president, has been replaced by 65-year-old Dr. Scott Atlas. Trump’s detractors in the media have been asking where’s Fauci, when Trump sidelined him for allowing the anti-Trump media to denounce the president. Fauci acts clueless, questioning why a hard-working, well-intentioned doctor like himself would receive death threats, requiring a security detail. But Fauci knew exactly what he was doing when he made himself available to the anti-Trump media for not-so-innocent interviews making Trump look bad. Replacing Fauci was long overdue, not only because he’s over the hill but because he’s a Democrat operative looking to score points before the Nov. 3 election.

Now the media complains that Trump found someone new that matches up with him politically, aligned around the idea of reopening schools and colleges, resuming business-as-usual in the Covid age. Fauci said he’d reserved judgment about Atlas, a brilliant physician with Stanford University’s Hoover Institution, once chief of Stanford’s neuro-radiology department. Facu’s been a broken record, repeating himself since the outset of the Covid-19 epidemic back in February. Wear masks, socially distance, wash your hands, the same advice given in the 1918 Spanish Flu epidemic. While there’s nothing wrong with Fauci’s repetitive advice, there’s something very wrong with using his position to denounce the president, acting clueless when interviewed by Trump’s enemies, looking to score political points. Atlas gives a fresh perspective on how to manage Covid-19 at this stage of the pandemic.

One thing about Trump that’s undeniable, he won’t tolerate mediocrity, or advisers that make him look bad because they hold covert political views. Suffered through four years of Democrats and the media’s “Russian hoax,” Trump’s had enough of advisers that go rogue, deciding to operate beyond the pale like Fauci. Fauci’s spent most of his time giving interviews to the anti-Trump press, answering questions by devious journalists out to make Trump look bad. Fauci and 65-year-old State Department epidemiologist Deborax Birx hounded Trump to shut down the economy for two months to “slow the spread” of the virus. Now the U.S. faces the worst recession since the Great Depression, something, according to Atlas, that was entirely unnecessary. Fauci and Birx made it look like if Trump didn’t shut down the economy, he’s have blood on his hands for the rising death toll.

Attlas agrees with Sweden’s approach to the Covid-19 global pandemic which kept open businesses and schools, facing no more cases or deaths than other countries that shut down their economies. “Scott is a very famous man who’s also highly respected,” Trump told reporters, introducing Atlas to the media. “He has many great ideas and he thinks what we’ve don is really good,” showing exactly why the media wants Fauci. It’s no accident that 77-year-old former Vice President Joe Biden and his 55-year-old running made Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) are running their campaign on Trump’s failure to manage to the Covid-19 crisis. Of course the media wants Fauci to corroborate their political narrative. Atlas runs counter to Democrats and the press narrative that Trump’s botched his response to coronavirus global pandemic. Of course Democrats and the media wants Fauci front-and-center.

Fauci’s often referred to by the media as “the nations leading expert on infectious disease,” something some preposterous, it just makes no sense. Fauci’s an 80-year-old career NIH employee, not a leading expert in anything. He’s a high-paid government bureaucrat who should have retired years ago, but, like others in Congress, hangs on to his job way beyond his usefulness. “In the absence of immunization, society needs circulation of the virus, assuming high-risk people can be isolated,” Atlas wrote, taking a very different tact than Fauci and Birx. If Fauci and Birx got their way, the entire U.S. economy would have been shut down, as Fauci says, to 95%. Fauci isn’t concerned about how many unemployed workers starve, lose their health care or go broke because he’s a career bureraucrat with a government salary and benefits. Fauci doesn’t look at the big picture, only “slowing the spread” of the virus.

Democrats and the media have turned the coronavirus and economic fallout into their main anti-Trump campaign talking points. If the virus slows down or the economy recovers, Democrats and the media run out of luck. They have no platform for the economy or foreign policy, other that returning the days of former President Barack Obama, when the U.S. engaged in endless Mideast wars, spending billions on proxy wars or toppling dictators, like the late Libyan dictator Col. Muammar Gaddafi. No, Democrats want Fauci because he likes to rip Trump in disguised ways, answering all the media’s question designed to advance the Democrat campaign narrative. “It’s very clear to me,” said Georgetown University public health professor Lawrence Gostin, “I think he’s [Atlas] utterly unqualified to help lead a Covid response,” showing the extent of how Democrats have politicized the virus.
