Showing why U.S. news outlets must break the stranglehold of U.S. political parties, it’s more important than ever for journalists to report only facts, not advance political agendas. When you look at the information war going on with China, Russia and Iran over the coronavirus AKA SARS CoV-2 or Covid-19 pandemic, the American public deserves to get the facts straight and for U.S. journalists to commit themselves to politically neutral, nonpartisan reporting. Cable networks like CNN or print outlets like the New York Times or Washington Post play around with journalism to advance Democrat talking points does the nation a disservice, not divorcing themselves from pressure to push news only if it promotes a Democrat agenda. Everyone knows that Democrats despise Trump but there’s too much at stake now with the coronvirus to play dangerous political games.
Only an informed electorate, free from the kind of bias that advances political agendas at the expense of the truth can save the country from pernicious foreign propaganda tearing the country apart. China, Russia and Iran have seized the opportunity to spread the most vicious lies about the United States, blaming the U.S. military for planting the coronavirus in Wuhan, China. With the U.S. reeling from the massive SARS CoV-2 U.S. outbreak with 849,092 cases and 47,681 deaths, Chinese, Russian and Iranian agents sow division into U.S. media out. Fake news stories routinely appear in social media whipping more fear in the American public, pushing the “shelter in place” approach, preventing the U.S. economy from getting back on track. All three countries know that the most damage they can do to the U.S. is to harm the mighty U.S. economy, currently in recession.
If enough fake news hits the airwaves and print outlets, China, Russia and Iran think they can prolong a punishing U.S. recession, convincing enough Americans that it’s not safe to return to work. While there are always safety concerns about reopening the economy, the far bigger risk is keeping the economy closed. Some elected officials have lost sight of reality, thinking that they must rely on the most extreme science to guide when to reopen the economy. If China, Russia and Iran had their way, they’d inflict as much damage as possible on the U.S. economy, weakening U.S. National Security from within. Whatever risk the coronvirus poses to U.S. national security, it pales in comparison to damaging the U.S. economy. Keeping people from working adds to the unemployment, homelessness, disease, despair and anarchy, something U.S. enemies can only dream of.
Using state-run news outlets to sow disinformation in the U.S., creates the kind of confusion and chaos that prevents the U.S. from getting on track. Watching political parties polarize on the issue of ”opening up the country,” shows the extent of foreign disinformation about the virus. China, Russia and Iran have promoted the belief in the U.S. media that reopening thE economy would lead to mass casualties from the coronavirus. Recent epidemiological reports indicate that up to 50% of the infected people have no symptoms at all, something that should reassure U.S. citizens. Instead, China, Russia and Iran have put so much fear in the American public a sizable majority think it’s premature to return to work. State-run propaganda networks cleverly create division between Democrats and Republicans, where most Democrats swallow completely the destructive foreign narrative.
Recent polls show that Democrat fear reopening the country about 20% more than Republicans, showing that Russia, China and Iran have done their dirty work promoting division in the U.S. It makes you wonder whether foreign governments have actually infiltrated U.S. media, now pushing toxic propaganda inside liberal broadcast and print outlets. “They will announce this soon as they have troops in place to help prevent looters and rioters,” warned a message from China, Russia or Iran. “He said he got the call last night and was told to pack and be prepared for the call today with his dispatch orders,” warned messages intercepted by the Department of Homeland Security. State–run Chinese, Russian or Iranian propaganda outlets are trying to create panic and division in the American public. Judging by divisions between Democrats and Republicans, they’ve succeeded in creating chaos.
You know things have gotten bad when China, Russia and Iran promote the conspiracy theory that the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation created the deadly coronvirus outbreak to capitalize on new treatments and testing. China, Russia and Iran have called the coronavirus a U.S. military bioweapon. “It might be U.S. army who brought the epidemic to Wuhan. Be transparent!” urged Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Zhao Lijian March 14. When you consider the extent of foreign propaganda in the coronvirus war, 73-year-old President Donald Trump finds himself fighting a two front war, one against Russia, China and Iran propaganda, and an equally disruptive war against the U.S. media. It wasn’t that long ago that the media insisted Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election. So much Chinese, Russian and Iranian propaganda and disinformation to keep the public in the dark.
