Trying to show that Ivanka Trump gave contradictory testimony to the Jan. 6 House Select Committee, it’s clear that the committee doesn’t want the truth but a rubber stamp of its conclusions that former President Donald Trump committed a crime, lying out the outcome of the Nov. 3, 2020 presidential election. House committee members say Ivanka said she believed there was election fraud early on then changed her mind with former Atty. Gen. Bill Barr said there was no significant evidence of voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election. In Dec. 2020 Ivanka said she believed her father that something improper went on in the Nov. 3, 2020 election. When interviewed by the committee in April 2022, Inanka said she came to accept Barr’s view that there was simply no evidence that anything improper took place. Ivanka’s views clearly evolved over time after the election.

House Select Committee members think that Ivanka lied to the committee, telling documentary film maker Alex Holder Dec. 10, 2020 that she supported her father’s efforts to get to the bottom of election fraud. Barr said Dec. 1, 2020 that there was no significant fraud found in the 2020 election. House Committee members know that Ivanka was part of her father’s administration, believing analysts and consultants that showed that something improper went on in the 2020 election. “I think that, as the president said, every single vote needs to be counted and needs to be heard, and he campaigned for the voiceless,“ Ivanka said, showing, as expected, her views on election fraud changed over time. When election analysts realized that former President Donald Trump had been thoroughly demonized by the media for months, it wasn’t surprising that Joe won the election.

Donald Trump disbelief following he Nov. 3, 2020 defeat, related to the fact that his internal pollsters told him he’d win the election. No one told the former president that he was done in by the May 25, 2020 George Floyd murder by Minneapolis cops, painting him as a racist. When it came to the Covid-19 global pandemic, journalists like Washington Post’s Bob Woodward, put their reputation on the line saying Trump blew the Covid-19 pandemic. With cases and deaths soaring in the U.S., there was enough empirical evidence to toss Trump out of office. When it came to the economy, government shut downs closed down considerable U.S. industry, driving the country into recession. When it came to the 2020 presidential campaign, Trump was blamed for everything, leaving him vulnerable to Biden on Election Day. Trump didn’t realize he was toast on Election Day.

When it comes to Ivanka, the House Select Committee needs to cut her some slack because her views on the election changed over time. Early on after the election, she backed her father’s efforts to see every vote counted. Once it was clear that voter fraud was not the primary driver of the Nov. 3, 2020 presidential election, she realized eventually that voter fraud didn’t change the outcome. If you asked Donald, he’ll go to his grave thinking he was robbed by Democrats of his second term. When Trump looks at the Russian hoax, all the fraud perpetrated by the government and the press, it was easy to conclude election fraud did him in. Because Invanka was part of the inner circle, it’s understandable how she believed early on the election fraud. As time when on and no one could find any fraud, she changed her mind, especially after Barr said nothing significant took place.

Ivanka did nothing to contract her testimony, saying that in Dec. 2020 she believed her father’s concerns about voter fraud but eventually came to realize, like Barr, that there was a lack of compelling evidence. Any independent analysis of the Nov. 3, 2020 election shows that voters were fed up with racism, the Covid-19 pandemic and economic fallout from government lockdowns. Former President Donald Trump watched his fortunes changed in 2020 because of a convergence of events, starting with George Floyd, the Covid-19 pandemic and recession. When it all added up, Biden was a shoe in for election, nothing to do with voter fraud. Ivanka didn’t contradict her testimony, she started to wake up after Barr said he found nothing significant in voter fraud causing Trump’s defeat. Whether Donald ever gets over what Barr calls a “delusion” about the 2020 election is anyone’s guess.

Trump’s inner circle all wanted to believe that something nefarious went on to change the 2020 election results. But any objective analysis, all of Trump’s political problems amounted to an insurmountable obstacle without any voter fraud. Voters simply wanted a change, not knowing what life would be like under Biden. Trump warned that Wall Street and the economy would tank under Biden, all turning out to be true. Knowing what they know now, most voters would gladly opt for another four years of Trump. When you consider the Ukraine War and damage done to the U.S. economy, most voters crave the kind of prosperity and security under Trump. Biden’s agenda has harmed foreign policy, the economy and future of the U.S. government. No one could have imagined the speed with which the economy deteriorated under Biden’s failed domestic and foreign policy.
