White House and U.S. press can’t fathom the fact that Ukraine’s grossly distorted war propaganda can’t hide the fact that Russian President Vladimir Putin is firmly in control of the Ukraine War. No matter how many arms the U.S. or NATO ship to Kiev, they can’t beat back the Russian invasion without starting WW III. Only a determined allied land and air attack can stop Putin’s Ukraine campaign. President Joe Biden, 79, and Ukraine’s 44-year-old President Volodymyr Zelensky thought they could take on the Russian Federation and win. But winning looks likes widespread destruction and carnage for Ukraine’s people. Biden has only one chance of pushing back Russia, coordinating a widespread allied ground invasion and no-fly-zone. Since that hasn’t happened fearing WW III on the European Continent, Putin calls the shots in Ukraine without a major U.S. and NATO reversal.
Ukraine’s war raised many fears in Europe, watching Biden continue to feed Ukraine’s resistance, supplying unlimited amounts of arms and cash to Kiev. Putin now believes that the U.S. has engaged Ukraine in a proxy war against the Russian Federation. So no matter how much Biden says he’s trying to preserve democracy in Ukraine, the White House runs the war in Ukraine against the Russian Federation. Biden said yesterday that Putin will never win in Ukraine, the exact thing he said in Syria when the Obama administration spent billions in a joint proxy war with Turkey and Saudi Arabia to oust 56-year-old Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Biden knows that al-Assad is still in power, despite Obama and Biden spending billions on Syrian rebel groups promising to topple the Syrian dictator. Biden’s effort in Ukraine has a far lower chance of success, battling the Russian Federation.
New intelligence assessments reported in the pro-White House, pro-Democrat New York Times indicates that Putin believes he’s winning the war. Only a brainwashed fool thinks the U.S. and Ukraine are winning anything battling the Russian Federation. Zelensky has watched his once well-developed country reduced to rubble, all because he won’t sit down with Russian negotiators and come up with an acceptable ceasefire agreement. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov was dumbfounded when Zelensky said March 20 he hasn’t seen any new Russia proposals to end the conflict. Biden and Zelensky have doubled down on the war effort, still believing they can whip the Russian Federation with more U.S. heavy weapons. But with the strategic port city of Mariupol falling to Russia after complete devastation, who’s Biden and Zelensky kidding thinking they’re winning the war?
Biden’s approval ratings aren’t getting any better, largely because he’s perceived by Democrats, Republicans and independents as unfit to manage foreign policy and the U.S. economy. With inflation sweeping the economy, prices skyrocketing and consumers getting battered, Biden isn’t likely to see his approval ratings do anything but go down. Biden boldly declared he’ll run with his VP Kamala Harris again in 2024. But for all practical purposes, a president can’t run for reelection with such abysmal approval ratings. Democrats face a daunting challenge in the November midterm election, not likely to hold on to the House or Senate. Before that, a bellwether takes place Sunday, April 24 with the French presidential election pitting 44-year-old socialist President Emmanuel Macron against 63-year-old nationalist Marine Le Pen. If Le Pen wins, it could spell doom for Democrats in November.
Western governments keep praising themselves about their unified response against Putin, hitting him with crippling economic sanctions. But as the Western Alliance found, Putin has tight relationships with many other world economies, like China and India, who don’t see it Biden’s way. So Biden is forced to go to economic war against the whole world trying to enforce his crippling sanctions on the Russian Federation. What’s Biden going to do to China or India for continuing to buy Putin’s oil and natural gas? Biden thinks he can punish anyone who defies his sanctions against Putin but he’s finding out it doesn’t work that way. If he creates more problems for Beijing, it could accelerate its decision to invade Taiwan. No one believes there’s anything the West can do to stop a Chinese Mainland invasion. But instead of continuing to stay stuck in quicksand, Biden needs to pivot.
Biden’s only chance to save face no is pushing Zelensky hard into making peace with Russia in the Instanbul peace talks. Putin clearly is in it for the long haul if Biden wants to continue the Ukraine War. Biden needs to ask himself how Syria turned out. He knows the Obama administration failed to get rid of Bashar al-Assad, largely because Putin backed Damascus. Now that Biden runs the war in Ukraine, it’s clear that it’s a financial loser for the United States, not to mention destroying what’s left of Ukraine. What differences does it make if U.S. intel shows that Putin thinks he’s winning the war. All that counts for the U.S. is the country is on the wrong track trying to defeat the Russian Federation. There’s no face-saving for Biden knowing that losing the Ukraine War will be another black eye for the Pentagon. Zelensky must go to the peace table and end the conflict.
