Turning U.S. democracy on its head, the U.S. press has embraced oligarchy, rule by one party, since 78-year-old President Joe Biden beat 75-year-old President Donald Trump. No where in the new political gang-rape of Republicans is more evident than with yesterday’s recall election of 53-year-old California Gov. Gavin Newsom Newsom, with the help of the Washington establishment, beat back a Republican-driven recall effort that collected over 1.7 million signatures to oust the Democrat governor, who dined Nov. 17, 2020 at the $1,200 a plate, chic-chic Napa-based French Laundry restaurant with his lobbyist friends all without wearing masks. Newsom ordered the most draconic lock-downs and mask rules in the country, all apparently to slow the spread of the deadly novel coronavirus. But when it came to himself and his rich friends, Newsom tossed his Covid-19 restrictions out the window.

Newsom’s hypocrisy drove Republicans, independents and some Democrats, to start collecting signatures for his recall petition. As the election heated up, a Republican front-runner emerged, 69-year-old, black conservative radio talk show host Larry Elder. Once Elder separated himself from the Republican pack, the national Democrat spin machine went after him with a vengeance. Papers like the New York Times, Washington Post, online outlets like HuffPost, broadcast outlets like CNN and MSNBC, all tore into Elder as a clone of former President Donald Trump. What the Democrat spin machine didn’t figure out is that Elder has his own brand of conservatism and did not back Trump in the 2016 presidential election. But for expediency sake, Biden smirked when campaigning with Newsom March 13, calling Elder a clone of Trump. Elder isn’t a clone of anybody but himself.

Before the Sept. 14 vote, Hall of Fame New York Mets catcher Mike Piazza endorsed Elder for governor in the recall election. Instead of respecting Piazza’s right as an American to pick the candidate of his choice, the media came down on Piazza, daring to back Elder, when the U.S. media establishment endorsed Newsom. Criticism of Pizza came fast-and-furious, demonizing the Hall of Fame ballplayer all because he expressed his preference for Elder. When it comes to the U.S. press, the political bias for Democrats violates the Federal Election Commission, requiring political journalists to report the facts, not allow news organizations to secretly endorse political candidates. Picking on Piazza for backing Elder was especially egregious because it exposes Democrats’ mission to rule by oligarchy, eliminating, with the help of the corrupt press, the U.S. two-party system.

Newsom and other Democrat operatives hit the panic button a few months ago when polls showed the gap between the yes votes for recall and no votes within 10%. Sounding the fire alarm, Newsom got former President Barack Obama, Vice President Kamala Harris and Biden all involved in rescuing Newsom. Biden’s strategists told Newsom to emphasize only Covid-19, just like he did beating Trump in 2020. Only Elder brought up the dismal reality of California under Newsom with rampant homelessness, battered economy, skyrocketing gas prices, intolerable taxes for businesses, persistent drought and wildfires with no end in sight. No, Newsome stuck to the script and won the election roughly 65% to 35%, but not for the reasons given by Newsom in his victory speech. Newsom thanked Californians for continuing his economic, social and environmental justice.

Newsom won the Sept. 14 recall because the Democrat Party and complicit press turned California into an oligarchy, ruled by only one party. Democrats enjoy a two-to-one registration advantage over Republicans, making the Sept. 14 election a fait accompli, done deal. What you see in California, rule by oligarchy, is sweeping the U.,S. with the coercion and endless propaganda, that only Democrats are “woke” party to govern without the dark history of racism in America. Unending media propaganda attacked Pizza for his right of free speech. What’s happened to Pizza is precisely what’s happened over the last five years, demonization of everything Trump, accusing him of white supremacy and racism. Elder joked last night that he’s the “black face of white supremacy.” Going after Pizza exposed for all to see the media’s intolerance of the two-party system.

Newsom won the Sept. 11 election because Democrats have a two-to-one registration advantage in California. When you add to that the media’s unrelenting demonization of Republicans, it’s no wonder that Pizza was shamed for backing for Elder for governor. When you consider that Elder, a black man, represents California’s largely white Republican Party, it’s utterly remarkable. Demonizing Elder shows the extent of racism in the Democrat Party, pretending he has no right to a different opinion about anything. Newsom stuck to the Democrat script that he’s fighting the Covid-19 crisis as his top priority. No one campaigning with Newsom praised him for doing a good job as governor. Newsom was content the sing his praises of his Covid-19 policy, running away from his real record of economic and social failure, watching the homeless population engulf the state.
