Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wy.), 54, daughter of 80-year-old former Vice President Dick Cheney, was demoted today from her position Chairwoman of the House Leadership Conference because of her outspoken opposition to 74-year-old former President Donald Trump. Cheney was beloved by Democrats and the press because she worked feverishly with other anti-Trumpers, especially the Lincoln Project, to defeat Trump in the 2020 presidential election. Cheney, like Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Ut.), voted twice to impeach Trump, first for his phone call with Ukrainian President Zolodymyr Zelensky and second for his “incitement of insurrection.” On both counts, Trump was acquitted in the U.S. Senate but turning Cheney and Romney into Democrat and media heroes for voting against their party. To Cheney and Romney, it’s a matter of patriotism. To the GOP, it’s treason.

All of the Democrat and press obsession with Cheney has to do with preserving a friendly Republican that votes against her Party. When you think about it, why should Democrats care when House Republicans decide to change leadership? House Democrats and the press want the post-Trump GOP in total wreckage, total chaos, unable to compete in local, state or national elections for the foreseeable future. When you think about it, Democrats and the press want one-party rule forever, keeping power to advance their version of social, economic or environmental justice, all to advance a leftist agenda of expanding big government’s role in every aspect of American life. “We cannot both embrace the ‘big lie” and embrace the Constitution,” Cheney said, referring to Trump calling the election “rigged,” or ridden with fraud to the point that it affected the outcome of the Nov. 3, 2020 vote.

Cheney and Democrats calling Trump claims of massive voter fraud the “big lie,” seeks to validate the results, citing the fact that Trump’s claims of widespread election fraud was never proven. Trump’s former Atty. Gen. Bill Barr, no fan of Democrats and the press until he said Dec. 1, 2020, that he saw no widespread evidence of Election Fraud. After trashing Barr as Trump’s lapdog since he became Atty. Gen. Feb. 14, 2019, suddenly Barr, like Cheney and Romney, is elevated to hero status because he denounced Trump. Cheney clearly did everything in her power to prevent Trump from a second term, as did the Lincoln Project and many other anti-Trump Republicans. Cheney’s removal from the No. 3 spot in the House GOP was utterly predictable based on her bucking her Party’s trend to see Trump’s domestic and foreign policy agenda continued for four more years.

Cheney lost her position not because she despised Trump but because she aided-and-abetted the 2020 Democrat House, Senate and White House takeover. Cheney was especially vociferous about the Jan. 6 Capitol riot and mob scene, joining House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) in accusing Trump of “incitement of insurrection.” Cheney thinks Trump incited an insurrection because of the “big lie” that voter fraud caused Trump’s defeat. Cheney can’t explain how universal mail-in ballots impacted the 2020 election, because no Democrat, Republican or press can explain what happened. Democrats and the press, like Cheney, keep repeating the same slogan about the “big lie” that unprecedented mail-in ballots skewed the vote to a Democrat outcome. Former Chatman University Law professor John Eastman said in preparing his Supreme Court brief for Texas that universal mail-in ballots made fraud detection impossible.

Cheney delivered the Democrat and media talking points about the election better than most Democrats because she had more clout as a Republican denouncing Trump. “The 2020 presidential election was not stolen. Anyone who claims it was is spreading “THE BIG LIE,” turning their back on the rule of law, and poisoning our democratic system,” Cheney wrote, giving the Democrat and media talking points better than her Democrat colleagues. Democrats and the press defended Cheney to the bitter end, hoping to preserve a vociferous voice to preserve their narrative about Trump’s “big lie.” Cheney lost her leadership job in the GOP because she betrayed her Party, did the bidding of Democrats and the press. There’s nothing patriotic about Cheney’s views, only her personal hatred toward Trump. Democrat and the press happened to agree with every word she uttered.

Liz Cheney is a textbook case of cosmic hubris, believing she could betray her Party without any repercussions. Her demotion was less about Trump who’s on the sidelines now but about her betrayal of her Party citing Democrats and the press talking points. “The nation needs a strong Republican Party . .. a party that is based upon fundamental principles of conservatism,” insisting she plans “to lead the fight” to take the GOP in that direction. Cheney led the GOP to elect Joe Biden, who’s trashed about every possible conservative principle, implementing his socialist agenda. Cheney’s utterly clueless how destructive she’s been to the Republican Party, working night-and-day to defeat Trump in the 2020 election. Now that she accomplished her goal, she’s turned the country over to the radical left, now promising to end economic, social and racial injustice at the expense of the American Dream.
