Speaking to 60-year-old ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, 78-year-old President Joe Biden showed why he’s not fit for duty as president, too disinhibited by age-related issues to know he’s reckless to U.S. national security. Biden described Russian President Vladimir Putin as a “killer” devoid of a “human soul.” “So, you know Vladimir Putin,” Stephanopoulos said. “You think he’s a killer?” Without batting an eyelash, Biden said, “Mmm, hmm, I do,” No U.S. president should make such incendiary statements about a head of state, let alone one of the most powerful U.S. adversaries on the planet. Biden promised a new era of diplomacy, and proceeded to use the coarsest, crudest, most belligerent rhetoric for perhaps the most powerful U.S. adversary on the planet. Stephanopoulos, the master manipulator, well-known for baiting his guests, made Biden look dangerous, out-of-touch and plain senile.
Stephanopoulos should act as an ethical journalist but can’t change-his-stripes for his days as a Democrat political hack for 74-year-old former President Bill Clinton. When he left his White House career, he jumped to ABC News and was retreaded as a journalist, but knowing nothing about the profession’s ethics, if there’s any left in today’s industry. Baiting Biden to reveal publicly his hatred of Putin puts the U.S. into a vulnerable position. Stephanopulos was part of left-wing journalist mob that accused Trump of colluding with the Kremlin to beat George’s good pal, former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. George was all in on the FBI’s illicit investigation on Trump, often interviewing former FBI Director James Comey, trying to make him look legitimate after former President Donald Trump fired him May 9, 2017. Stephanopoulos made Biden look demented.
Trump spent four years fending off baseless media attacks that he was somehow in cahoots with the Kremlin, blasting him for trying to get along with Putin. During Trump’s four years the U.S. and Russian had no tense confrontations, only exchanging pleasantries at world gatherings. Biden told Stephanpopoulos that he spoke with Putin in January and told him he would “pay a price” for attempts of interfere with American democracy. Biden has no proof that Putin meddled in any U.S. election or, for that matter, that the Russian state played a role in the recent SolarWinds hack that left many government departments using the network management software vulnerable. U.S. intel officials said that Russia favored Trump in the last election, emphasizing Biden’s role in Ukraine’s corruption. Biden tried to recount some details about his conversation with Putin in January.
Biden’s been deliberately kept away from the press, except in the most scripted circumstances like talking to Democrat-friendly CNN or with Stephanopoulos. Biden said he recalled a past conversation with Putin in which he confronted him. “I said, I looked in your eyes and I don’t think you have a soul,” Biden said. Putin responded, “We understand each other,” “The most important thing of dealing with foreign leaders . . .is just knowing the other guy,” Biden told George. Insulting Putin now representing U.S. foreign policy is impeachable, endangering U.S. national security. Trump realized early on he needed U.S. adversaries to cooperate on a wide variety of global topics, especially Putin who has so much clout on the world. Admitting publicly that he sees Putin as “soulless” killer only makes cooperating on a global topics all the more difficult in U.S. foreign policy.
Stephanopoulos tried to press Biden to recall his most recent conversation with Putin last January. “We had a long talk, he and I, when we . . . I know him relatively well. And the conversation started off, I said, ‘I know you and you know me. If I established this occurred, then be prepared,’” Biden told George. Biden’s response was incoherent even for a mind reader. What’s clear is that Joe cannot, because of his age-related cognitive decline, speak spontaneously on any topic, other than past memorized talking points. Going public calling Putin a “soulless” monster shows the kind of recklessness that makes it dangerous for him to continue as president. While Stephanpoulos tried to rescue Joe diverting him to talking about immigration or his dog Major that bit someone recently at the White House. Journalists like Stephanpoulos do the country a disservice by covering up Joe’s disability.
Calling Putin “soulless” in public shows that Joe isn’t fit as commander-in-chief knowing that U.S.-Russian relations are important to U.S. national security and world stability. Biden’s already poisoned the attitude of 58-year-old Secretary of State Tony Blinken who demanded recently that Putin release from prison 44-year-old dissident Alexi Navalny. Talking about starting on the wrong foot, Biden has already killed any prospect for the U.S. working with Russia in Syria, the Ukraine or other hot spots like North Korea and Iran, both countries where Putin has considerable clout. No U.S. president should publicly slam an important foreign leader, who, at the end of the day, no European Union leader wants to confront. Biden’s openly hostile rhetoric toward Putin presents problems for the EU, currently completing the Nord Stream 2 pipeline and considering buy Sputnik V vaccines.
