LOS ANGELES.–President-elect Donald Trump, 78, addressed a raucous crowd in Phoenix at the GOP Party-activist convention Turning Point USA, founded by 33-year-old Salem radio host Charlie Kirk.  Trump spent 75 minutes it what amounted to his first political rally since winning the 2024 election Nov. 5, touching on many of his campaign themes related to the economy and foreign policy.  After shellacking 60-year-old Vice President Kamala Harris Nov. 5, Trump talked about a peaceful transition, with Democrats not protesting the results.  “We had no riots.  We had no anything.  It was a beautiful thing to watch,” Trump told the young activist audience.  “They just said, “we lost.’ and we want to try bringing everybody together.  We’re going to try.  We’re going to really give it a shot,” Trump said.  Trump talked about his mandate, when Democrats keep saying he won a close victory against Kamala.

Democrats and the press have a hard time accepting that Trump beat all the odds, after demonized by the press for his many legal cases against him, most of which have been dismissed or just died on the vine.  Liberal news outlets still call Trump a convicted felon for his Manhattan hush money case where partisan prosecutors and jury convicted him May 31 of 34 felonies related to paying off Stormy Daniels in 2016. Trump continues to appeal the conviction but Democrats hoped the strategy of charging Trump with multiple felonies in the year before the 2024 presidential election would stop him from running.  With Special Counsel Jack Smith’s cases dropped, the election fraud case in Atlanta was dropped last week when Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis was removed from the case by Georgia’s court of appeals, all but ending the racketeering case.

Trump alluded to the fixed 2020 election something Democrats and press refute saying that no court in the land found any election fraud.  Well, when all the voters were tallied in 2020, why did Biden get 5 million more votes than Trump did in 2024?  There’s no accounting for Biden’s copious votes in 2020 other that explaining it by unaccounted for universal mail-in ballots.  If courts don’t find that fraud, that doesn’t mean it’s not fraud.  Democrats and the press can’t account for Biden’s unprecedented number of votes in 2020.  Turning Point USA audience all believe Trump was robbed of the 2020 election, whether they have proof or not.  When Trump won all seven battleground state, it was a stunning rebuke of Kamala but, more importantly, the corrupt U.S. press that was pushing for her to win the race.   Trump pivoted to other controversial topics like talking about the Panama Canal.

Trump’s activists like everything he says, just the opposite for Democrats and the press, including talking about Canada as another U.S. state.  While sovereign, Canada could not survive without U.S. investment and industry, keeping the country as a manufacturing power for the United States, the same thing goes for Mexico.  Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is on the threshold of losing power with members of his liberal coalition calling for his resignation.  Trump knows that Trudeau’s socialist policies have devastated Canada’s economy and world standing.  Trump’s main goal as president is the restoration of American supremacy on the world stage both in terms to the reserve currency but also its capitalistic model of democracy that rejects a Canadian or European-style democracy relying heavily on taxation to fund health care and other social welfare programs.

Trump wanted to set the record straight at Turning Point USA that billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk sets the best possible example or American ingenuity and entrepreneurship.  Trump rejected the latest fake Democrat and press narrative that Musk now calls the shots in Trump’s upcoming White House.  “No, no. That’s not happening,” Trump said. “He’s not gonna be president,” Trump told the audience, responding to Democrat fake claims about the outsized clout Musk wields in Trump’s circles.  Trump made no mention of future battles with Democrats over the next continuing budget resolution coming in late March.  If Trump could resolve the stalemate with Democrats last Friday, he can find a way to bridge differences with Democrats in late March.  Trump has a way of bringing out the dealmakers and negotiators in the Democrat Party.

Trump praised young Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA for turning out the youth vote to hand him a satisfying victory on Nov. 5.  Kamala and the Democrat Party machine was beaten back because voters figured out they were gaslighted by the mainstream press that’s morphed in recent years into a wing of the Democrat Party.  “You had Turning Point’s grassroots armies,” Trump told the crowd.  “It’s not my victory, it’s your victory,” Trump said.  Democrats and the press learned nothing from the Nov. 5 election, that the public rejects the press trying to ram Kamala down voters’ throats.  Kamala lost all battleground states because voters felt she wasn’t fit to fix the many economic and foreign policy challenges facing the country.  Kamala wanted to talk about civil, gender and women’s reproductive rights but it wasn’t’ enough for voters concerned about the futures.
