LOS ANGELES.–Spewing more disinformation for U.S. and EU consumption, 46-year-old Ukrainian President VolodymYR Zelensky looks desperate trying to convince 78-year-old President Donald Trump to continue the failed Biden policy in Ukraine. Zelensky has destroyed his country opting Feb. 24, 2022 for war with the Kremlin at great expense to Ukraine, killing tens-of-thousands to citizens-and-soldiers, destroying the country’s infrastructure, driving millions into exile and bankrupting his economy, all to say he took on 72-year-old Russian President Vladimir Putin. Zelensky chose war over peace, when he could have agreed to let Putin keep Crimea and recognize the independence of Donetsk and Luhank. But, no, Zelensky cajoled a weakened 82-year-old President Joe Biden to fund his government and the war. Putin already had Russian troops in Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk.

So, what has Zelensky accomplished over the last three years other than losing some 20-25% of Ukraine’s sovereign territory, asking the U.S. and NATO to fight an unending war with Russia so he can pretend to get his territory back? Zelensky continues the same claptrap propaganda, pandering to U.S.-Russian historic fears and macho, telling the press that a loss in Ukraine would have catastrophic consequences to the U.S. Zelensky and Biden insist that Putin wants to conquer more territory in Europe, something disputed by Putin and the Kremlin, saying the Ukraine situation was created by Biden’s refusal to negotiate new security arrangement with Ukraine. Biden ignored Putin’s requests for discussions in the months leading up to the Feb. 24, 2022 invasion. Putin claimed that U.S. arming Ukraine or promising NATO membership was a red line for the Kremlin.

Zelensky fears a change of policy under Trump who promised during the campaign to end the Ukraine War in 24 hours. “This period, this moment depends, I think, on our unity in Ukraine. And I think what is very dangerous if we will lose unity in Europe and what is most important between Ukraine and the United States,” Zelensky told Fox News correspondent Trey Yingst in “Special Report.” Zelensky could not be more obvious in his egregious pitch for an endless blank check from the U.S. government. Zelensky thinks he can gaslight Trump the same way he did Biden. But Trump has said Zelensky must be the best salesman in the world getting billions from the U.S. to fund his bankrupt Kiev government and unending war with the Kremlin. U.S. lawmakers must stop the naïve anti-Russian grandstanding and face reality in Ukraine. Zelensky continues to blow smoke.

Zelensky, not matter how much cash-and-weapons he gets from the U.S. or NATO is not going to defeat the Russian Federation, now or ever. He made the colossal blunder with Biden on going to war against the Kremlin, destroying U.S.-Russian relations, something far bigger and more important than the U.S. relationship with Ukraine. Ukraine has no practical national security significance to the U.S. Zelensky has sold the conflict as a battle in Europe between tyranny and democracy but Ukraine has never been a democracy, certainly not now under Zelensky’s martial law. Zelensy’s biggest fear is losing U.S. cash to pay for his salary and pension and those of this cronies and Kiev government. Zelensky has delivered only mass destruction to Ukraine when he could have negotiated a deal to preserve Ukraine for allowing the status quo with Russia.

What nerve of Zelensky to continue the same sales job he’s been cajoling Biden for the last three years. Surely Zelensky knows it won’t work with Trump, but, more importantly, he’s deliberately sowing dissension into an already rancorous Congress. Zelensky has his war hawk backers in Congress, buying his rubbish that Putin wants to take over Europe. Putin wants the U.S. to stop supplying lethal arms to Ukraine, but, more importantly, stop demanding NATO membership, a red line for the Kremlin. Zelensky’s sales pitch changes daily, not talking of how his war with Russia defends European democracy. Pandering to even more primitive instincts in Congress about the U.S. “losing” another war, Zelensky goes for the propaganda jugular, hoping to convince Trump to stick with Biden’s failed policy. Trump doesn’t buy Zelensky’s rubbish and will push for a political settlement.

Zelensky said any political settlement that would involve trading land for peace would be unacceptable to his Kiev government. Well, with the U.S. footing the bill, can Zelensky really dictate to Trump the terms of any U.S. involvement in terms of cash-and-weapons? What colossal nerve of Zelensky to think he can gaslight Trump and Congress into continue that same failed policy that has all but destroyed his country? Zelensky knows any land for peace settlement with Moscow would admit failure, causing the immediate collapse of his government. Zelensky’s days are numbered in Ukraine, knowing how his war strategy with the Kremlin has all but destroyed Ukraine. Putin had troops in Ukraine before the Feb. 24, 2022 war and will no doubt have troops in Ukraine for the foreseeable future. Certainly Trump won’t subsidize Zelensky’s delusion of defeating the Kremlin.
