LOS ANGELES.–Former Vice President Mike Pence, 65, said he strongly opposes 78-year-old President-elect Donald Trump nominating Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to run Health and Human Service but not for the same reasons as the fake news. Fake news slams RFK Jr. because of his reported views on vaccines and other health-related issues, painting him as a conspiracy nut, not fit to run a government agency. But Pence has other ideas for opposing RFK Jr. because he backs reinstating Roe v. Wade in national legislation, legalizing a women’s right to choose abortion. Picking RFK Jr. “is an abrupt departure from the pro-life record of our administration and should be deeply concerning to millions of Pro-Life Americans who have supported the Republican Party and our nominees for decades,” Pence said. Since his falling out with Trump Jan. 6, 2021, Pence has been in his own world.

What does what happened in the last Trump administration have to do with the 76 million voters that picked Trump to run the country for the next four years? Harking back to his Pro-Life fantasy world, Pence thinks that evangelical Christians holding his Pro-Life views should protest over RFK Jr.’s nomination. Kennedy said on his Web site he’s a “firm supporter of the principles laid out 50 years ago in Roe v. Wade,” continuing “if the courts do not overturn Dobbs v. Jackson and restore abortion rights, he will support legislation to accomplish the same,” infuriating Pence, who has no say in the new Trump administration. Why Pence is quoted at all in the news is anyone’s guess? He’s completely irrelevant since he’s not part of Trump’s new administration. Pence knows that Trump does not support a national abortion ban and would not sign one.

Listening to Pence, you’d think he was personally betrayed by the Trump administration or that he’s owed something by Trump himself. Pence said the Trump’s abortion stance was “slap in the face” to Pro-Life abortion opponents. “The Trump-Pence administration was unapologetically Pro-Life for our four years in office. There are hundreds of decisions made at HHS every day that either lead our or nation toward a respect for life or away from it, and HHS under our administration always stood for life,” Pence said, acting like he’s still Vice President. Pence spends too much time obsessing about Pro-Life issues when it’s a low priority for the Trump White trying to tackle inflation and get the U.S. out of dangerous foreign wars costing the Treasury billions. Pence gives away what he did as Vice President promote his own Pro-Life agenda rather than doing his job.

Opposition in Democrat and Republicans circles to RFK Jr. has nothing to do with his position on abortion or a woman’s right to choose. Democrats and Republicans have bought the fake news narrative that Kennedy is a vaccine denier, when he’s the only one who’s actually worked at as environmental attorney litigating damages done by drug companies and vaccine makers to real plaintiffs. Kennedy knows all about the FDA, drug approval process, political payouts, insider connections and the damage done by toxic chemicals, pesticides, heavy metals, etc., contaminating drugs and food supply ingested by U.S. consumers. Kennedy wants to make recommendations to reduce carcinogens and other toxins in the U.S. drug and food supply to help make Americans healthy again. Pence sounds off-the-wall accusing RFK Jr. of violating his pledge to Pro-Life.

Pence fantasizes that Trump was all about his Pro-Life movement when, in fact, it was low on his priority list of promoting prosperity and world peace. When you look around the world with wars raging in Ukraine and the Mideast, you’d think that former Vice President Pence would get his priorities straight. Why Pence comes out of the woodwork to attack RFK Jr.’s nomination to HHS is anyone’s guess? Pence and former U.N. Amb. Nikki Haley have something in common, they both stabbed Trump in the back and now pay the price. Trump could have completed his Jan. 6 Electoral College vote certification without publicly denouncing his former boss. Haley too is egged on constantly by the fake news, especially the Never Trump crowd to destroy her political career. Now that she’s been passed over, Haley says Trump is playing games, not including her in a Cabinet pick.

Pence has clearly gone over the deep-end and should not be taken seriously, especially by anyone in the Pro-Life Movement. “There is no question that we need a pro-life HHS secretary, and, of course, we have concerns about Robert F. Kennedy Jr. I believe that no matter who is HHS secretary, baseline policies set by President Trump during his first term will be reestablished,” said Marjories Dannenfeiser, President of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America. exposing her own Pro-Life agenda. Why should Trump’s first term preempt Trump from picking anyone he sees fit to help run his government? Pence exposes that the Hill newspaper has morphed into fake news, trying to stir the pot, when the Pro-Life issues are irrelevant to RFK Jr.’s approval as HHS Secretary. When RFK faces his confirmation hearing, he’ll shine like a bright star on public health.
