LOS ANGELES.–Russia President Vladimir Putin, 72, has been back in the headlines, now that Trump has won reelection Nov. 5 by a landslide, promising, as his first order of business, to end the Ukraine War. So the war hawks, led now by Washington Post journalist Bob Woodward, has already started accusing Trump again of Russian collusion. Woodward and the Democrat Party promise to fight back against Trump peace agenda, seeking to end the Ukraine War and restore U.S.-Russian relations, something that prevents WW III and nuclear war. Woodward joins all the warmongers in Congress to fight back against Trump attempt to contact Putin to help resolve the conflict. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Congressional war hawks want to keep the proxy war with the Kremlin going indefinitely. Zelesnky wants the billions in U.S. government largess to keep his government going.

Woodward in particular is a dangerous Democrat hack, used successfully with Dr. Anthony Fauci, to discredit 78-year-old President Donald Trump 2020 election. Woodward, who interviewed Trump Jan. 28, 2021, said Trump didn’t take the deadly coronavirus seriously, accusing Trump of mismanaging the Covid crisis. Woodward worked closely for the Democrat Party with Dr. Anthony Fauci who led Trump’s Covid Crisis Team. Woodward claims the public and press should watch Trump like a hawk with his dealings with Putin. Woodward said nothing about his lack of interest in reporting on how 81-year-old President Joe Biden destroyed generations of diplomacy, détente and arms control with the Russian Federation. Woodward has no opinion about Biden’s destructive foreign policy that left the U.S. in the most vulnerable national security place since WW II.

Without White House approval Trump risks violating the 1799 Logan Act, prohibiting any private citizens from engaging in U.S. foreign policy. Woodward would be the first one complaining the Trump should be prosecuted for working on U.S. foreign policy. Woodward ignored all the self-destructive mistakes made by Biden over the last four years to destroy U.S.-Russia and U.S.-Chinese relations. Trump already decided to talk to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky with billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk on the call. While Trump did most the talking,Woodward and others will no doubt object to Musk’s role trying to negotiate with Trump an end the Ukraine War. “If there is not neutrality, it is difficult to imagine the existence of any good neighborly relations between Russia and Ukraine,” Putin said, showing an openness to starting talks about ending the conflict.

Zelensky has pushed for NATO membership, something that Putin draws as a red line, even knowing that NATO has rejected Zelensky’s overtures. Putin has asked for a new security arrangement for Ukraine, something he asked Biden for months before the Feb. 24, 2022 invasion. Putin objected to the U.S. meddling in Ukraine by supplying Zelensky arms-and-cash, forcing him to send 200,000 troops into Ukraine. Biden said Putin’s invasion was a “naked power grab” but Putin warned Biden for months about continuing to supply cash-and-arms to the Kiev government. In less than three years of war, Putin has seized 20-25% of Ukraine’s sovereign territory, prompting Zelensky to move the Ukrainian army Aug. 8 into Russia’s Kursk border region. Putin now deploys North Korean troops to help dislodge Ukrainian forces from Russian territory.

Trump is now in the picture whether the Biden White House thinks the former president violates the Logan Act, trying to work with Putin on a ceasefire and peace deal. “We are determined to create conditions for a long-term settlement so that Ukraine is an independent, sovereign state, and not an instrument in the hands of third countries, and not used in their interests,” Putin said. Putin has refuted Biden and Harris claims that he seeks to takeover more territory in Europe. Putin told former Fox News journalist Tucker Carlson Feb. 8 that he did not want any more NATO territory, only wanted the U.S. and NATO to respect Russia’s national security, staying out of Ukraine. Zelensky has rocked the boat with Putin asking for fast-track membership to let NATO battle with Russian forces. Putin said certain Ukrainian groups in Donetsk and Luhansk want independence.

Putin said that Russian-speaking residents living in Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk must have the right to independence. “The borders of Ukraine should be in accordance with the sovereign decisions of people who live in certain territories and which we call our historical territories,” Putin said, mapping the broad contours for a truce and peace settlement. So far, Zelensky has rejected all peace plans by neutral third parties all saying that Ukraine must make territorial concessions for a lasting peace. Trump won’t have any problems giving Putin what he wants over the objections of Zelensky, who’s rejected all former peace plans. Zelensky won’t get away with the same rubbish to Trump about protecting European democracy from a Russian menace. Trump wants Zelensky to get serious about ending the conflict through real negotiation and compromise, requiring painful concessions.
