LOS ANGELES.–Warning the public about foreign use of Artificial Intelligence [AI] to influence the 2024 presidential election, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines cautioned voters about attempts to sway the election to 78-year-old former President Donald Trump. Imagine that, Haines, who refused to say if a Chinese bioweapons lab manufactured the deadly novel coronavirus, now says that foreign actors used AI to manipulate U.S. voters to favor Trump. Whatever AI, if any, is used by foreign actors, what does Haines think goes on with voters by the mainstream U.S. press? Every news story on almost every broadcast and print outlet demonizes Trump and promotes 59-year-old Kamala Harris as the savior of democracy. How much more manipulation of U.S. news can voters take, when AI has virtually no impact on anyone, only government bureaucrats spreading disinformation.
Yet Haines wants to grandstand about AI when it has an inconsequential affect on U.S. voters. Has Haines examined the nearly 100% biased U.S. media that does everything possible to make Harris look good and make Trump look bad? Does Haines think that disinformation and propaganda coming from the U.S. press has any effect on U.S. voters? “Foreign actors are using AI to more quickly and convincingly tailor synthetic content,” said the ODNI office. “The IC [intelligence community] considers AI a malign influence, accelerant, not yet a revolutionary influence tool,” said the ODNI. Scaring the public is a favorite tactic of the party in power, hoping to hold on to power especially in national elections. AI pales into insignificance to the influence of the mainstream press to influence the outcome of the presidential election. All U.S. press influence goes against Trump.
Because the population does know much about AI, the government now gaslights voters into believing it has an influence on the upcoming election. Take the Sept. 10 ABC News debate an example, watching moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis show undeniable bias favoring Kamala during the debate. When it comes to AI, it had no influence on the debate, only egregious bias by a credentialed news organization with obvious prejudice against Trump. ODNI’s office said Russia manipulated Kamala’s speeches in ways barely detectable or seen by anyone. Russia “has generated the most AI content related to the election, and has done so across all four mediums, text, images, audio and video,” said ODNI. With that kind of disinformation coming from ODNI, it’s no wonder voters are confused. ODNI knows that the mainstream press is out to keep Trump out of the White House.
Whipping up paranoia in the public is the government’s strategy to help Kamala get elected Nov. 5. But the real issue diverts all attention away from the ubiquitous gaslighting that goes on with U.S. news networks like ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, etc., all of which are working day-and-night to get Kamala elected president. Whatever role AI plays for foreign sources it’s truly inconsequential compared with the daily disinformation and propaganda coming from mainstream broadcast and print outlets. “These items included AI generated contend of and about prominent U.S. figures whose content is also consistent with Russia’s broader efforts to boost the former president’s candidacy and denigrate the Vice President and the Democrat Party, including through conspiratorial narratives,” said the ODNI. If that’s not the ultimate gaslighting rubbish then what is?
ODNI, the same office that lied about the origin of the Covid-19 pandemic, now says the scant elements of Russian AI try to denigrate Kamala. Can you imagine the audacity of ODNI talking about AI when they know all about the universal U.S. press bias against Trump? When does the mainstream press, who has a virtual monopoly on U.S. airwaves, do anything but demonize Trump? Raising the AI issue is exactly what promotes fake conspiracy theories that could have an infinitesimal effect on the presidential election. But the ODNI promoting the AI conspiracy theory diverts the public away from the real source of propaganda and disinformation: The U.S. press. ODNI is another example of how the deep state gets into presidential election, trying to get Kamala elected. ODNI said Russia alters videos to make Kamala look bad on the border.
Whatever Russia AI says about Kamala’s track record on the border, it’s insignificant compared to the U.S. press covering up her abysmal work on the border. What could Russian AI say about Kamala that isn’t already known by U.S. voters? U.S. press works 24/7 to cover up the border problem because Kamala’s actions over the last four years have been a complete disgrace. So, the mainstream press does everything in its power to cover up Kamala’s abysmal performance on the border. Yet if Russia says anything about it, it’s a case of AI, something the public must fear. “Russia is a much more sophisticated actor in the influence space in general, and they have a better understanding of how U.S. elections work and what states to target,” said the ODNI. ODNI knows that the U.S. press monopolizes influence in U.S. elections and it’s universally against Trump.
