LOS ANGELES.–Warning the Chinese military about “dangerous” moves in the South China Sea, the U.S. showed how close the two nuclear-armed superpowers are to military confrontation over Taiwan. President Joe Biden, 81, violated the 1979 Taiwan Relations Act in 2022, telling Beijing that he would send U.S. troops to Taiwan to defend the island nation in the event of a Chinese invasion. Biden refuses to commit U.S. troops to its proxy war in Ukraine with the Kremlin, yet directly warns China that the U.S. would violate the Taiwan Relations Act to defend Taiwan. Former President Jimmy Carter committed the U.S. to recognize only one China and end the 1954 Sino-American Mutual Defense Treaty. So, when Biden threatens to send U.S. troops to defend Taiwan it violates the Taiwan Relations Act, putting the U.S. on a war footing with Beijing. Tonight’s ABC News debate isn’t likely to mention much about foreign policy, certainly not about Ukraine and China.

Beijing and Washington remain at odds over the independence of Taiwan with Beijing warning the U.S. about arming the Republic of China, the democratic government occupying Taiwan. Talking via video link, Samuel Paparo, Commander of the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command and Wu Yanan, head of the Chinese army’s Southern Theatre, expressed irreconcilable differences over video chat. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, 62, got China to agree at a recent visit to Beijing to resume military-to-military talks to avoid miscalculation in the region. Yet the direct talks only confirmed the challenges presented to the next president that could end up in war, possibly nuclear war with the two superpowers. Whether admitted to or not, Kamala has embraced Biden’s belligerent, warmongering with Russia and China, setting U.S.-Russian and U.S. Chinese relations back generations. All the past diplomacy was undermined by Biden warmongering with Russia and China.

Paparo said the talks “underscored the importance of sustained lines of communication between the U.S. military and the PLA [Peoples Liberation Army]. “Such discussions between senior leaders serve to clarify intent and reduce the risk of misperception or miscalculation,” Paparo said. But the more the U.S. and China talk, the more intractable the positions, with Washington supplying arms to Taiwan over the objections of Chinese President Xi Jinping. Paparo was concerned about China’s naval confrontations in recent months with the Philippines navy, another country Biden pledges to provide mutual defense, not just Taiwan. But if the U.S. doesn’t change its mutual defense posture in the South China Sea, the next president could preside over a new war in Indo-China, something Kamala would not be prepared to handle. Kamala expressed continued support for the Ukraine War and providing mutual defense to Taiwan and the Philippines.

Paparo “urged the PLA to reconsider its use of dangerous, coercive and potentially escalatory tactics in the South China Sea and beyond, showing no signs that Biden’s warmongering would stop until a new president with a different perspective would take over. ABC News looks to focus tonight’s debate on extraneous issues related to civil rights, gender rights and women’s reproductive rights. But the next president will face the most consequential decisions in U.S. history, including the dangerous escalation of the Ukraine War. Kamala promises to carry on the Biden policy of arming Ukraine to fight the Kremlin, giving today’s Ukrainian drone attacks on a Moscow suburb. Ukraine’s 46-year-old President Volodymyr Zelensky now uses U.S. and NATO weapons to attack deep inside the Russian Federation, something expressly forbidden in rules of engagement. Ukraine has crossed the Kremlin’s red line with respect to using nukes to defend the Russian homeland.

What’s Kamala going to do with military escalation in Ukraine and the South China Sea. Chinese President Xi Jinping has made it clear that he has not changed his Taiwan policy, meaning that Beijing considers Taiwan a sovereign part of the mainland. Whatever happens with the Chinese Navy and the Philppines in the South China Sea, Xi sees the U.S. meddling in Chinese territory, the same thing the U.S. has done in Ukraine. U.S.-Chinese talks have done nothing to clarify U.S. foreign policy in the South China Sea and Taiwan Strait. China has not changed its position over Taiwan, only clarified a potential military confrontation over the U.S. it comes to that. If Harris follows the Biden policy in Indo-China the U.S. could wind up fighting a two-front war, one in Ukraine the other with Taiwan, because Beijing has no plans to giving up its claim over Taiwan sovereignty. Taiwan has said they would fight to preserved independence over Beijing.

Biden-Harris foreign policy in Ukraine and Indo-China has been one of confrontation, not one of peacemaking, letting neutral parties settle the conflict before it morphs into full-scale war. “China demands that the U.S. halts military collusion with Taiwan, cease arming Taiwan and stop spreading false narratives related to Taiwan,” said senior Chinese military official Zhang Youxia. Former President Donald Trump has made clear he would not violate the 1979 Taiwan Relations Act to defend Taiwan and would work urgently on ending the Ukraine War. Kamala has already followed in former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinon’s footsteps of accusing Trump of inappropriate relations with dictators like Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping. Expect ABC News to completely ignore any war and peace issues with Russia and China, largely because they expose White House warmongering and threats of WW III.
