LOS ANGELES.–Voter concerns about 81-year-old President Joe Biden went through the roof at last night’s CNN presidential debate in Atlanta, with anyone watching more concerned than ever about Biden fitness for office let along running for a second term. Voters saw firsthand Biden’s memory and cognitive impairments, something hidden by the White House through his carefully orchestrated video snippets-and-sound bites. Former President Barack Obama’s 57-year-old campaign manager David Plouffe gave an honest answer of Biden’s performance. “It’s kind of DEFCON 1 moment,” Plouffe said in Trump-hating MSNBC about Joe’s debate performance. DEFCON 1 relates to the highest Pentagon alert for an urgent nuclear war. Plouffe said side-by-side Biden looks some 30 years older than Trump. “It really pains me to say this: They are three years apart,” Plouffe said.
Plouffe knows, having run Obama’s campaign in 2008, that perception is everything and Biden looked old, tired and senile. “They seemed about 30-years apart tonight. And I think that’s going to the thing that voters wrestle with coming out of this,” Plouffe said, realizing that Trump doesn’t show his age where Biden looks geriatric. Democrats can’t fathom the fact that Biden isn’t fit for office, let alone asking for four more years. “There was a sense of shock, actually how he came out at the beginning of this debate, how his voice sounded. He seems a little disoriented. He did get stronger as the debate went on. But by that time, I think panic had set in,” said former 69-year-old Obama strategist and CNN pundit David Axelrod. Axelrod chooses his words carefully after making disparaging, actually truthful, comments about Biden prospects of winning the presidency.
No one in Democrat circles, like CNN, can be honest about anything. Their goal is one-dimension, having little to do with facts, only advancing the Democrat agenda. Axelrod commented about Biden’s voice, something the White House attributed to a cold and sore throat. Actually, Biden has a geriatric voice, sound more like Walter Brennan on the “Real McCoys.” As soon as Biden opened his mouth, Democrats got that sinking feeling, knowing he was in trouble. As the debate went on, Biden didn’t get stronger as Axelrod said, he sounded more incoherent, drawing incredulous looks from Trump, while he tried to string coherent thoughts. But the more Joe talked, the more he exposed for all to see that he suffers from age-related cognitive decline. Democrats denied Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report that Biden suffered from age-related cognitive decline.
White House rebuffed all calls for Biden to step aside and let 58-year-old Vice President Kamala Harris step in to run for president. “And I think you’re going to hear discussions that, I don’t know will lead to anything, but there are going to discussions about whether he should continue,” Axelrod said, opening himself up to questions of his party loyalty. At this point, anyone that questions Biden’s fitness for office is viewed by the White House as a traitor. Former White House Communication Director Kate Beningfield said the one question Biden had to answer in the debate was his age. “His biggest issue that he had to prove to the American people was that he had the energy, that he had the stamina—and he didn’t do that,” Bedingfield said. Bedingfield knows that Biden showed unnatural energy in the March 7 State-of-the-Union Speech, where he seemed amped up.
Today’s over arching message about Biden’s debate performance is that he showed integrity and honesty compared with Trump’s constant lies and distortions. Democrats won’t admit, as Trump said four years ago, that Biden was shot, not capable to running the White House. Voters didn’t listen in 2020, all because Trump was blamed by anxious voters for the Covid-19 global pandemic taking the lives of too many citizens. Trump mentioned the fact that more people died of Covid under Biden’s watch than when he was president. Trump also reminded voters that he and his Covid team pushed to get the advanced therapeutics and vaccines that have saved millions of lives worldwide. Trump initiated Operation Warp Speed to push Pfizer, Moderna and other vaccine makers to come up with a vaccine in record time. Biden and Harris take credit for the vaccines.
No one in Biden’s camp is ready to throw in the towel with Biden’s run for a second term. No matter how much Democrats and the press despise Trump, covering for Biden’s cognitive impairment harms U.S. national security by leaving a man in the White House in a deteriorated mental state. Voters have seared in their minds watching Biden last night that he’s not fit for the White House now or in the future. “It was a slow start. That’s obvious to everyone. I’m not going to debate that point. I’m talking about the choice in November,” said Kamala Harris after the debate. Harris has been Biden’s No. 1 cheerleader, vouching for Joe’s mental fitness after Hur released his Feb. 5 blockbuster report. Hur said that Biden couldn’t recall in two days of interviews when he served as Vice President or when his son Beau died. Harris was the first to denounce Hur’s report as GOP propaganda.
