LOS ANGELES.–Heading toward the June 27 CNN presidential debate in Atlanta, 78-year-old President Donald Trump carries a whirlwind of speculation over who he’ll pick as Vice President, sometime either before or at the July 15-18 Republican National Committee Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Much speculation has focused on remaining frontrunners including 39-year-old Sen. Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), 53-year-old Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fl.), and 67-year-old North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum. But voices persist about Trump picking his closest rival in the GOP race, 52-year-old former U.N. Amb. and South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, who apparently catered to the anti-Trump or never Trump Republican crowd. Some think it would unify the GOP by bringing in the never-Trump wing of the GOP, an act of good faith toward Trump’s GOP detractors.

Trump picked former Indiana Gov. Mike Pence in 2016, largely because he brought in the Evangelical vote, a strategy that barely eked Trump out the unexpected victory against former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. That was no easy feat when you consider the government conspiracy with the Obama White House, Justice Department, CIA, FBI and NSA all of which worked in overdrive to sabotage Trump’s campaign. Hillary’s fake campaign accusations about Trump colluding with the Kremlin dogged him for years, still could turn up at tomorrow night’s debate. Hillary accused Trump of being a “Putin puppet,” the same rubbish used by Biden in the 2024 campaign to discredit Trump. Biden plans to tell a TV audience tomorrow that Trump is a danger to U.S. foreign policy and national security and should never be trusted in the White House.

How ironic that Biden got the U.S. into the first proxy war with the Kremlin, ending decades of diplomacy, détente and arms control with the Russian Federation. But Democrats think they can sell rational voters on saying Trump is the menace to U.S. national security. Biden is the one that signed June 13 a 10-year security pact with Ukraine to fund the war for the indefinite future, greatly increasing the risk or WW III and nuclear war. Yet Biden accuses Trump of being a menace to foreign policy and national security. Trump had the U.S. at peace with Russia, Communist China and North Korea during his four years in office. Trump actually stopped North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un from making nuclear threats against the United States, even became the first and only U.S. president to visit North Korea in an unexpected act of global diplomacy.

When Trump picks his VP, the most important consideration is that they’re on the same page when it comes to the economy and foreign policy. Biden joined Ukraine War Feb. 22, 2022 after Russian President Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine. Haley agrees 100% with Biden’s proxy war against the Kremlin, no matter how it destroyed U.S.-Russian relations. How could Trump pick anyone as VP when they back Biden’s reckless proxy war against the Kremlin? Marco Rubio agrees wholeheartedly that Putin is the enemy and the U.S. must stick to its guns in Ukraine. When it comes to North Dakota Gov. Doug Burham, like Rubio and Haley, he also backs Biden’s Ukraine War policy. Trump recognizes that the U.S. will not, no matter how many billions are spent, beat the Russian Federation in any war. Putin is committed to battling the U.S. to the end of time.

Trump recognizes that Biden’s proxy war in Ukraine must stop before it bankrupts the U.S. and starts WW III or nuclear war. None of the current frontrunners are on the same page as Trump on Ukraine except J.D. Vance. Vance agrees with Trump that the Ukraine War must stop not only because the U.S. can’t win but because it wrecks U.S.-Russian relations, something important to world peace. Wars in the Middle East, Red Sea and brewing conflict with Communist China need clear thinking about U.S. foreign policy and national security. Vance holds the same view as Trump that the U.S. needs the Kremlin to spread stability and peace around the globe. “Nikki Haley is not under consideration for the VP slot, but I wish her well,” said 78-year-old former President Donald Trump on Truth Social. Only Vance fits the bill when it comes to ending the Ukraine War.

Trump’s narrowed his selection for VP to J.D. Vance, someone at 39 would be considered young by U.S. standards, especially with 81-year-old Biden seeking four more years. Vance has all the right stuff, a decorated Iraq War marine veteran and Yale Law graduate, all meeting anyone’s vetting standards. Voters would like what they see in Vance as a potential future president when Trump finishes his next term or retires. “Trump struggled with Haley voters even months after she dropped out. His team continues to attack her and her supporters,” said Biden Spokesman James Singer on X [formerly twitter]. Only Vance has the compatibility with Trump on the major campaign issues, especially the Ukraine War. Vance offers Trump the vigor of youth at a time when many voters question the advisability of running senior citizens for President of the United States.
