LOS ANGELES.–Independent candidate 70-year-old Robert F. Kennedy Jr. showed his thin skin overreacting to a Truth Social post by 77-year-old former President Donald Trump, questioning why he would want to take votes from him in the general election. RFK Jr. resorted to insults saying Trump was “frightened” man resorting to insults. When frightened men take to social media they risk descending into vitriol, which makes them sound unhinged,” RFK Jr. said, expressing his own vitriol against Trump. Trump only said that RFK Jr.’s campaign could theoretically take votes away from fight to win the presidency from 81-year-old President Joe Biden. Trump and RFK Jr. actually agree on many things, especially opposing the Ukraine War. Trump was the first presidential candidate to say he would end the war in 24 hours, something RFK Jr. hasn’t promised.
RFK Jr. claims that Trump backtracked on his pledge to end the war approving April 20 House Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-La.) decision to put Biden’s $95 billion foreign aid bill to a House floor vote, handing Ukraine $60 billion to continue the fighting with the Kremlin indefinitely. RFK Jr. showed, or at least his handlers, how they overreact to the slightest provocation, hurling insults at Trump. RFK Jr. used former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-Calif.) insulting language, calling Trump “unhinged,” Unhinged is a meedia’s euphemism for “crazy,” a more polite way to insult political opponents. RFK Jr. used the opportunity to request that Trump resolve the issue on the debate stage, something presumptuous because Trump does not consider him much of a factor. But, if Trump thinks about it, he should insist, with any future debate with Biden, that RFK Jr. show up.
RFK Jr. would be an asset on a debate stage with Biden because he opposes practically everything that Biden does, especially on the economy and foreign policy. Trump insulted RFK Jr. on Truth Social saying he was inserted into the race to help Biden. Biden’s handlers certainly don’t think that because whatever Democrats RFK Jr. takes from the race, it would certainly hurt Biden more than Trump. But analysis of RFK Jr. role in the race, it looks like it takes votes from both Biden and Trump, though more votes from Biden. “President Trump, who has proven himself the most adept debater in modern American history, should not be panicked to meet me on that stage,” RFK Jr. said, bating Trump into a debate. Trump is a media magnet, not Biden or RFK Jr., drawing a larger audience than anyone in the race. Without Trump on the stage, the debates would carry no weight.
RFK Jr. used the opportunity to gaslight Trump into a debate, something that won’t happen anytime soon, especially with his Manhattan hush money trial. RFK Jr. said he would go after Trump for letting Johnson put the foreign aid bill to a House floor vote, knowing Ukraine would get the $60 billion. RFK Jr. forgets that Trump doesn’t control Johnson or the vast majority of Republicans that back Ukraine no matter how reckless and wasteful to U.S. foreign policy and national security. RFK Jr.’s uncle, President John Kennedy, worked feverishly for his three years in office to improve U.S.-Russian relations, especially after the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, considered the closest to a nuclear confrontation during the Cold War. Today’s situation under Biden is far worse for U.S.-Russian relations with Biden funding proxy war in Ukraine against the Kremlin.
RFK Jr. then accused Trump of supporting the Ukraine War because he somehow didn’t control Johnson. “He promised to end the Ukraine War and then colluded with Speaker Johnson and President Biden to fund it,” RFK Jr. said, knowing, in truth, Trump has no control over Johnson. RFK. Jr. went on a tirade about everything he would do differently than Trump or Biden as an independent candidate. “He let Big Pharma and the corrupt bureaucrats run roughshod over him as President,” RFK Jr. said, referring to Trump’s track record with the drug industry. RFK Jr. and Biden give Trump no credit for working during the peak of the Covid pandemic in Operation Warp Speed, to push Pfizer, Moderna and other vaccine makers to come up with a workable vaccine to save lives. Pfizer announced one week after Trump lost the 2020 election it was releasing the first Covid vaccine.
RFK Jr. shows he’s far more on the attack than first glimpse, slamming Trump for the deficits he racked up during his presidency. “He promised to cut the deficit and ran up the biggest debt in history,” RFK Jr. said. But what was Trump supposed to do when his chief Medical officer Dr. Anthony Fauci and the entire Covid response team told Trump he had to shut down the government, local, state and national, to stop the spread of the deadly virus? RFK Jr. likes to take things out of context, certainly pinning the economic mess from Covid on Trump. If Trump had his way, he would have shut down nothing but was under fire from many places, especially the media, to do more to deal with the pandemic. RFK Jr. blames Trump for shutting down businesses during the pandemic, knowing that Trump had to go along with his medical advisers. RFJ Jr. showed he’s the one panicked.
