Pinning up his dirty laundry in public, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fl.), 41, said he would ask for a “motion to vacate” on House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), 58, for brokering the Sept. 30 continuing resolution [CR] that kept the government funded for 45 days before Congress can negotiate a mutually acceptable 2024 budget, including 80-year-old President Joe Biden’s spending priorities on the Ukraine War. When the CR passed Sept. 30 it did not include the president’s top priority of spending another$6 billion on his proxy war in Ukraine against the Kremlin. Gaetz has no interest in Biden’s Ukraine War since he opposes the war. In McCarthy’s CR no Ukraine War funding was included, prompting an angry outburst from Biden, whose top priority is funding his failed Ukraine War. Biden is so obsessed with Ukraine, he only reluctantly signed McCarthy’s CR.

Gaietz has gone over the top in his vendetta with McCarthy, falling into the CNN trap, exposing his dirty laundry on liberal TV. “I think we need to rip off the Band-Aid,” Gaetz said. “I think we need to move on with new leadership that can be trustworthy,” Gaetz said, not realizing that McCarthy serves the entire House, not Gaetz’s ultraconservatvie Freedom Caucus. You’d think that Gaetz would be pleased with no Ukraine funding but he completely ignored that. Biden’s fixated on his proxy war against Russian President Vladimir Putin as are many other Congressional Democrats and Republicans. All ignore the damage done to U.S. foreign policy and national security. Biden keeps promising he’ll degrade the Russian military, as if that’s favorable to U.S. foreign policy or national security. No one country, with the exception of the U.K., backs Bidien’s mission in Ukraine.

All European countries want to see ceasefire and peace talks, something Biden and Ukraine’s 45-year-old president Volodymyr Zelensky resist, saying they aim to drive all Russian soldiers out of Ukraine. Russia had soldiers in Ukraine before the Feb. 24, 2022 invasopm and will have them in Ukraine after the war ends. Biden can’t tell anyone in Congress how or when the Ukraine War will end, wasting billions in U.S. tax dollars over the fake premise that Ukraine defends European democracy. A news leaked Pentagon memo today indicates that there are real concerns about corruption in Ukraine. No one in Congress authorizing billions in Ukraine knows how the money is spent or how much U.S. tax dollars are wasted on a fake premise that NATO no longer protects European democracy. Biden and Zelensky have made more excuses than an Old West snake oil salesman in Ukraine.

Progressive firebrand Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) said today that she would vote to oust McCarthy, not thinking about the fallout too the House. With McCarthy out, Republicans would pick a more radical conservative, someone like 39-year-old Rep. Elain Stephanik (R-N.Y.) or even 59-year-old Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), chairman of the House Judiciary Committee working on Biden’s impeachment. Whether admitted to or not, most Democrats and Republicans back McCarthy because he showed he can work on both sides of the aisle. McCarthy said he played the “adult in the room,” meaning rebellious ones like Gaetz serve their own narrow interests, not the overall House. “We have to move to single-subject spending bills,” Gaetz said, claiming getting rid of McCarthy is the only solution. McCarthy doesn’t seem too intimidated by Gaetz’s threat to oust him.

Instead of feuding in public, Gaetz lacks the maturity to know how he’s gaslighted at his own peril by the liberal media, looking to do anything to damage GOP chances in 2024. Gaetz claims he’s a big supporter of Trump but the more legal entanglements, the more likely that someone else will represent the GOP in 2024. Gaetz said he wants “single-subject spending bills,” but that’s not what happened with the latest CR, requiring practical solutions, not Gaetz’ threats to oust McCarthy. “That’s nothing new. He’s tried to do that from the moment I ran for office,” McCarthy said. “I’ll survive. This is personal with Matt,” showing that McCarthy thinks the same Democrats that voted for the CR will back him for House Speaker. “Matt voted against the most conservative ability to protect our border, secure our border,” McCarthy said, telling Gaetz to “bring it on.”

McCarthy showed in the heat of the moment a “profile in courage,” resisting threat from his Party’s right wing. “He’s more interested in securing TV interviews than doing something than doing something. He wanted to push us into a shutdown, even threatening his own district with all of the military people there who would not be paid only because he wants to take this motion,” McCarthy said. “So be it. Bring it on. Let’s get over with it and let’s start governing,” McCarthy said about Gaetz’s threats to oust him. With all of Trump’s legal problems and chaos in finding a suitable nominee to get rid of Biden, Gaetz showed that he’s in a petty power struggle with McCarthy, not looking out for the Party. When the dust settles, it’s possible Trump will be out of the 2024 picture, looking for a fresh face in 2024. Pandering to CNN or other liberal networks has backfired on Gaetz.
