Going wild on the airwaves over Fox News Bret Baier’s June 19 interview, the anti-Trump media can’t stop talking about former President Donald Trump making a confession related to his Mar-a-Lago documents case now scheduled for trial in Miami Aug. 14. Baier is no friend of Trump, asking him a variety of questions about his pending trial for his June 9 37-count DOJ indictment for mishandling classified docs at his Mar-a-Lago estate. All the media, including Fox News, has so prejudiced Trump’s right to a fair trial, that it makes U.S. District Court Judge Aileen Cannon’s work almost impossible. How can Trump receive a fair trial when the jury pool has been contaminated by 24/7 news coverage all of Trump’s public remarks, especially the conversation with Baier? Trump can’t catch a break with the U.S. press, all of whom seem hell-bent on seeming him convicted of multiple felonies.
Where’s the due process under the 14th Amendment where every criminal defendant is entitled to an fair trial where the jury pool has not been contaminated by advance publicity? Since the Department of Justice [DOJ] June 9 37 indictment, the U.S. press has spent every waking minute on Trump’s guilt, culminating in Baier’s June 19 interview where Trump said he could not longer declassify classified documents after leaving office Jan. 20, 2021. In the contentious interview with Baier, Trump was asked about recorded conversation in which he talked about a classified document related to a Pentagon’s possible attack on Iran. Trump told Baier he couldn’t declassify the document “because I wasn’t president” repeating what he said in the recording. Trump said there was no document to which he referred, prompting Fox News senior analyst Brit Hume to call Trump’s remarks “incoherent.”
All the Democrat controlled media—including Fox News—has played a gotcha game with Trump, validating Special Counsel Jack Smith’s 37-count indictment. Why are the entire U.S. media invested in seeing Trump charged-and-convicted? Shouldn’t the First Amendment-mandated press give Trump, like every other citizen, the presumption of innocence without a rush to judgment? Yet when listening to Baier’s interview, it was clear that it was about trapping an off-guard Trump in an inconsistency. “There was no document at all,” Trump said referring to his statement about Iran, seemingly confirming a classified document. Trump at the time was fighting with 65-year-old Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Miley about his belligerent attitude toward Russia, China, North Korea and Iran. Trump fought with Pentagon warmongers and members of his own party pushing for war.
Not one Democrat and person in the U.S. press gives Trump any credit for keeping the U.S. free of foreign wars during his presidency. Trump’s foreign policy hallmark was getting along with past U.S. adversaries, trying to make the U.S. and world a safer place. Since 80-year-old President JoeBiden took office Jan. 20, 2021, he’s done exactly the opposite, started a proxy war with the Russian Federation and threatens war with China. Biden sent 60-year-old Secretary of State Antony Blinken to Beijing to try to salvage U.S.-Chinese relations. Unlike Trump that got along with U.S. adversaries, Biden has pushed the world to the brink of WW III and nuclear war. Instead of pushing Ukraine into negotiating a ceasefire and peace talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Biden continues to supply Ukraine lethal weapons with the intent of degrading the Russian military.
U.S. District Court Judge Aileen Cannon has been given grounds to cancel the DOJ’s charges due to so much advance publicity, making Trump’s due process impossible. “Well that’s that,” said Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.), one of Trump worst Democrat critics in the House. “Trump just confessed to Fox News that he stole and shared classified materials,” Swalwell said. With Democrats, Republicans and the press trying-and-convicting Trump in the media, how’s Cannon supposed to find impartial jurors? Everyone not sleeping under a rock has opinions on Trump’s guilt-or-innocence, making Cannon’s work all the more difficult. When it comes to Atty. Gen. Merrick Garland, he showed he’s not running the DOJ. Trump-hater Lisa Monaco, architect of the illegal Crossfire Hurrican investigation of Trump, runs the DOJ, making decisions about prosecuting Trump.
American citizens should be asking a basic question about the U.S. press. Why are they committed to see Trump charged, prosecuted and convicted of alleged crimes related to classified docs found Aug. 8, 2022 at Mar-a-Lago? No credentialed media organization should have an ax to grind in any legal case, especially one with national consequences. Watching from overseas, the U.S. is the laughing stock of foreign countries watching a past president prosecuted for possessing worthless old documents, classified or not, boxed stored located at Trump’s Palm Beach estate. Special Counsel Jack Smith, 54, exposed his anti-Trump bias saying worthless boxed classified docs threatened U.S. national security. In case Smith doesn’t own a TV or computer, Biden has started war with Russia and pushes for one with China, threatening U.S. national security far more than worthless old docs.
