Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov 72, long-time adviser to 70-year-old President Vladimir Putin, warned former Soviet satellites not to go the same way as Ukraine, where the so-called “Maiden Revolution” took place Feb. 22, 2014, toppling the pro-Kremlin government of Viktor Yanukovych. Backed by the CIA, the pro-Western Maiden Revolution created the roots of the current Ukraine War, where Putin marched his troops into Ukraine after 80-year-old President Joe Biden armed Ukraine with offensive and defensive weapons. Putin put Biden on notice that if he didn’t renegotiate new security arrangement for Ukraine, he would be forced to take a “special military operation” to disarm Kiev. No one in the U.S. or European press talks about the Feb. 22, 2014 coup that set the state for the Ukraine War with the U.S. and NATO arming Ukraine to the teeth.
Lavrov mentioned the Black Sea state of Georgia as starting its own protests over occupation of Russian-speaking areas of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, both were seized by Putin Aug. 8, 2008, over strong objections from 55-year-old former Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili, now living in exile. Watching three nights of protests, Lavrov sees a parallel with Ukraine, warning Georgian citizens to not go the same direction. Mired in a bloody proxy war in Ukraine, the Russian Federation finds itself battling the United States and European Union, providing unlimited cash and weapons in to battle the Kremlin. Putin has warned the West that if it threatens the Russian homeland, he might use nuclear weapons to stop and imminent invasion. Putin and Lavrov see the Ukraine War as the West’s attempt to break up the Russian Federation.
Georgia, like Ukraine, sees its future with the European Union, despite the fact that they lack the Gross Domestic Product [GDP] necessary to pay the prodigious sums of due the Brussels-based EU. Ukraine’s 45-year-old President Volodymyr Zelensky begged the EU and NATO for fast-track membership, claiming in speeches to the EU parliament and joint session of Congress that Ukraine fought the war with the Kremlin to protect EU democracy. No one in the EU or U.S. really believes that the bankrupt, war-torn Kiev government can protect European Democracy. Biden and Zelensky keep telling the press that they they’re battling the Kremlin to Svw European Democracy. Lavrov wanted Georgians to know that if they want to avoid perpetual war like Ukraine, they need to stop protests against the Russian Federation. Putin and Lavrov see parallels with Georgia and Ukraine.
Once the 2014 CIA-backed coup toppled Yanukovych, Putin has no choice but to annex the Crimean Peninsula, home in Sevastopol of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet. Zelensky with U.S. cash-and-arms seeks to retake the Crimean Peninsula when it was never considered at the outset of the Feb. 24, 2022 invasion. Zelenrsky new that Russian occupied Ukraine territory in Donetsk, Luhansk and Crimea, where sizable Russian-speaking populations in the Peoples Republics of Donetsk and Luhansk want no part of Kiev’s pro-Western government. Kremlin officials think that the U.S. and NATO want to break up the Russian Federation. Biden said March 26 , 2022 in Warsaw, Poland that Putin should no longer stay Russian president. Biden’s 69 year-old Defense Secretary Lloyed Austin told a crowd in Ramstein, Germany April 26, 2022 that the aim of the U.S. military campaign in Ukraine was to degrade the Russian military.
Lavrov said that former Soviet satellites endangered themselves aligning with the United States or European Union. “It seems to me that all the countries located around the Russian Federation should draw their own conclusions about how dangerous its is to take toward the United States zone of responsibility, its zone of interests,” Lavrov said. Lavrov thought Zelensky got seduced into all the fake promises of affiliating with the West, when in reality the EU and NATO were not going the let Kiev join anytime soon. Putin was irked by Zelensky’s constant public attempts to seek NATO membership, asking NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg to fast track Kiev’s membership. Zelensky found out the hard way when Biden told him after the war started he would not send U.S. troops or set up a no-fly-zone. Zelensky lost 25% of Ukraine’s land in the first year of war.
Lavov warned Georgia not to follow the same path as Ukraine, watching how the war has devasted Ukraine’s infrastructure, killed thousands and driven millions into exile. Whether Lavrov admits it or not, Russia lacks the military resources to open up another front. Reports from the front lines in Donbas from the Wagner Group indicate that the Kremlin can’t supply enough ammunition and weapons in the Bakhmut battle zone. Lavrov wants former Soviet satellites to know what happened in Ukraine. Biden and Zelensky have pushed the European Continent to the breaking point, with growing chances that the conflict would spread to other EU countries. Zelensky wants no part of peace talks until he gets every inch of his land back. Demanding the Putin be prosecuted in the International Criminal Court at the Hague, making peace talks all but impossible.
