Jan. 6 House Select Committee on the Capitol insurrection was always designed to hurt Republicans in the Midterm elections, promoting the idea that Trump supporters are ready-and-willing to commit treason and sedotopm on the U.S. government. Today’s article in the New York Times repeats the same reports that followed the Aug. 8 FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago, former President Donald Trump’s Palm Beach residence. Old news is good news if it helps Democrats hold onto the House and the Senate in the Midterm elections. Citing Internet chatter since the Mar-a-Lago raid the New York Times says that polls show that some 43% of the population believe that a civil war is in the U.S. future, largely from disgruntled Trump supporters. Yet most of the Capitol rioters are already in prison or heading to prison, making you wonder about the New York Times story about a right wing civil war.

Whatever the Internet chatter on right wing extremist groups saying they’d look forward to civil war after the Aug. 8 Mar-a-Lago raid, there are dwindling numbers not ready to go to prison for Trump or anyone else. Trump’s base, so-called MAGA supporters, are diwindling minority, less that 30% of the electorate, not enough to put Trump in the White House for a second time. Independents and crossover Democrats are too jaded with Trump’s antics to give him another shot at the White House. So all the chatter in the New York Times or Washington Post is all about scaring enough Black and Latino voters into thinking that white supremacy groups are a threat to U.S. democracy. President Joe Biden tried to help the cause Sept. 1 calling MAGA supporters “semi-fascists,” in another one of his non sequiturs. Biden follows the Democratic National Committee [DNC] talking points that Republicans threaten democracy.

Chatter on the Internet means nothing other that certain fringe white groups vent their anger about U.S. society. Chances of another Jan. 6 riot are slim-and-none, not because enough white voters aren’t angry enough but because they just aren’t organized enough to make any difference. New York Times raises the prospects of civil war to scare minorities into voting for Democrats, even though Biden has the world closer to WW III than ever before. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said Aug. 29 that if Trump were charged with mishandling classified documents there would be “riots in the streets.” While condemned by his Senate colleagues on both sides of the aisle, Graham has a case of wishful thinking, knowing that Trump backers know what happens when the step out of line after Jan. 6. Graham knows there’s not enough organized white roups to make any difference let alone riot.

Rioting in the streets is a wholly-owned monopoly of Black-leftist groups around the U.S. If they think a civil rights violation take place, they give the green light to their followers to riot, loot, arson and create mayhem around the country. Black-leftist groups, using the banner Black Lives Matter, get away with any type of violence or criminal activity in the name of civil rights. What happened Jan. 6, 2021 at the Capitol was an aberration of a few hundred rioters following a concession speech by Trump on the National Mall. Trump had sour grapes after the election because he couldn’t believe he lost to “Sleepy Joe Biden,” someone he ridiculed for the 2020 campaign. Trump lost the election because Democrats did a better job demonizing him than his party did of selling Republicans. Trump lost because a majority of voters saw him as a racist who botched the Covid-19 global pandemic.

Only Trump with his colossal ego thought there was no way he could lose the election. But any serious look at exit polls show most voters had enough of Trump antics, seeking a change in 2020, even if it meant choosing the lesser or two evils. With the National Debt hitting over 31 trillion and federal budget deficits reaching $2,54 trillion, inflation runs at 40-year highs, killing the U.S. economy for the foreseeable future. Whatever Biden has done to wreck the economy, he’s done an even worse job with U.S. foreign policy. Never before has the U.S. been at war with the Russian Federation and on the verge of war with China. For those reasons alone, Biden should have been impeached long ago, knowing that he’s unfit to manage the economy and U.S. foreign policy. Can you imagine, Biden told Rev. Al Sharpton recently that he has every “intent” to run in 2024.

All the recycled stories about new Internet chatter about a possible civil war is designed to scare Blacks and other minorities into voting for Democrat candidates. One month before the Midterm election, Democrats and Republicans are jockeying for position, hoping to get out their base on Election Day. Keeping Jan. 6 in the news or the prospects of civil war is precisely the DNC’s talking points heading into the Midterms. Democrats don’t want voters focused on the abysmal U.S. economy and war in Ukraine now threatening to morph into WW III. Democrats don’t want their constituents complaining about gas prices and runaway inflation but those are the facts in today’s America. DNC wants its candidates focused on Roe v. Wade, not Biden’s train-wreck in the economy and U.S. foreign policy. Reports indicate lately that voters are focusing more on pocket books than on abortion.
