Claiming that they’ve killed 30,000 Russian soldiers and destroyed more than 1,000 Tanks, Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense claims they’re handing the Russian Federation a stinging defeat in Ukraine. Pentagon and Kiev officials claim that Russian can’t achieve its military objective in Ukraine, insisting the Russian war effort has failed. White House and Kiev officials insist that Russian President Vladimir Putin tried-but-failed to conquer Kiev in the first three days of the military campaign after the Feb. 24 invasion. All the Bomb Damage Assessment [BDA] by Pentagon and Kiev suggests Russian has lost the war. Yet when you look at the map of Russian-controlled territory it tells a very different story, taking control of nearly all of Ukraine’s Black Sea Coast. Whether admitted to or not by Washington or Kiev, Putin has land-locked Ukraine, seizing far more coastal territory than before the war.

BDA is a neat way Pentagon and Kiev war officials can talk about success on the battlefield but doesn’t give the real picture of what’s happening. If you listened to the many Pentagon briefings during the Vietnam War by former Defense Secretary Bob McNamara, the U.S. won the Vietnam War many times over. But everyone knows the reality of the U.S. crushing defeat. When it comes to Ukraine, seizing the Black Sea coast tells the real story for who’s winning the war. White House, Pentagon and Kiev war propagandists won’t admit how much Ukrainian territory has been lost. Focusing on Russian losses, BDA, tells nothing, other than keeping the disinformation flowing on both sides of the Atlantic. White House officials won’t admit the Ukraine War has been a failure for Washington and Kiev. One look at the independent maps of Russian-controlled territory tells the real story

Kiev insists that over 50 Russian helicopters, 36 fighter-bombers, and 250 artillery pieces have been destroyed, telling nothing about what really going on. Regardless of all the BDA, the Russia army controls most of the Black Sea coastline, giving the Kremlin a clear path from Russia to the Crimean Peninsula, where Russia house its warm water fleet at Sevastopol. When it comes to factual assessment of what’s really going on in Ukraine, you won’t get it from the Pentagon or Kiev. Both claim Putin failed because he couldn’t conquer Kiev in the first three days of the conflict. So whatever comes after that, Ukraine’s beat back the Russian Federation. But the real story is published in maps by Washington-based Institute for the Study of War, showing maps that Russian controls almost the entire Ukrainian Black Sea coast. Head of the Washington-based non-profit Gen. Jack Keane refuses to share the facts.

Ukraine keeps asking for more sophisticated weapons to progress in their war effort to take back all the lost Ukrainian territory. When you look at current maps, it would take Ukraine years, if ever, to reclaim lost land, now land-locking Ukraine from its Black Sea coast. U.S.-made Javelin anti-tank missiles have wreaked havoc on Russian tanks but a concerted air war has done most of the damage to Ukraine’s military, civilian areas, leaving Ukraine in ruins. Whether or not Javelin anti-tank missiles continue destroying Russian tanks, the Russian army has still seized sizable swaths of coastal territory. Getting back the territory would take years of fighting, maybe never resulting in reclaiming lost land. Ukraine’s 44-year-old President Volodymyr Zelensky needs to be told by President Joe Biden, 79, that he must finish his offensive against Russia or go to the peace table. There’s too many risks of a mishap, mistakes or miscalculations to cause WW III.

Bomb Damage Assessment [BDA] is a crude measure of what’s happening on the ground in any battlefield situation. Gen. Keane, with Institute for Study of War, knows the maps of Russian-controlled territory but keeps them out of the public eye. What’s ironic are the Keane’s maps of Russian-controlled territory in Ukraine are fully available to the press but, due to politics, they choose not to publish them. It’s sickening to know the press is in cahoots with the White House and Kiev, perpetuating the illusion that Ukraine is beating the Russian Federation. “We do believe the Russian military has suffered a . . . not insignificant amount of attrition,” said an unnamed senior Pentagon official, again pushing the myth that things are going well. “They still have a significant amount . . .of their capability left to them,” said the Pentagon official, contradicting reports that Ukraine is in control.

White House and Kiev should stop playing games with Ukrainian lives and infrastructure. Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, still kicking at age 98, said Washington and Ukraine should start negotiating with the Russian Federation to end the war before it’s too late. Kissinger expressed concerns about a mishap creating a wider conflagration engulfing all of Europe in a wasteful war. Beyond that, Kissinger, whether he’s respected or not by Washington and Kiev, sized the situation up factually and sees that Ukraine is losing more territory by the day. Going to the peace table, not the battlefield, is the only way to end the conflict, restore order and get Ukraine back its Black Sea coast. Supplying Ukraine more lethal weapons guarantees more destruction and carnage, offering no assurances about returning lost territory. No one in Washington or Kiev seems interested in peace.
