President Joe Biden, 79, showed he’s not up to the task dealing with the wily 69-year-old Russian President Vladimir Putin. Putin massed over 100,000 troops inside Russia near the Ukrainian border to pressure the U.S. and NATO to make some security concessions to Moscow over encroachment on Russian national security. Biden has ignored Putin’s requests for the last month on banning Ukraine from NATO membership, scaling back NATO encroachment in Eastern Europe, but, more importantly to Putin, stopping lethal arms shipments to Ukraine. Putin has thrown all Western intel service into complete chaos, like Biden’s 45-year-old National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan saying yesterday that a Russian invasion could come at anytime. Biden, whose been duped by Putin from the start of the Ukraine crisis, has no clue what Putin’s up to, parroting back repeated threats.

Speaking to Putin today for just over an hour, Biden blew another opportunity to defuse the crisis, asking Putin what he wants to resolve any lingering concerns about Russian national security. But instead of listening to the Russian president, who’s been in charge of the Russian Federation since 1999, Biden continues to bark threats about crippling economic sanctions about Ukraine. Putin, and his 72-year-old Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, have repeatedly said the Kremlin has no intention to invade Ukraine. But if you listen to Biden, his 59-year-old Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Sullivan, you’d think that Russia was already launching an invasion. Ukraine’s 43-year-old President Volodymyr Zelensky told Biden last week that he, looking at the same intel as Biden, saw no “imminent invasion.” So why has the U.S. government and American press hyped an inevitable Russian invasion?

Biden’s cognitive state prevents him from engaging Putin in an open conversation with as two heads of instate. Instead, Biden reads his teleprompter, dictating how to respond to the Russian president. It’s clear that Biden and his national security team have made a bad situation worse, barking out continuous threats of untold draconic sanctions should the Russian army invade Ukraine. Russia’s U.N. Amb. Dmitry Polanskiy accused the White House of fanning “hysteria” and a “panic campaign” to intimidate the Russian Federation. “The Americans are artificially inflating hysteria around the so-called planned Russian invasion,” said Kremlin aide Yuri Ushanov. “The preconditions for possible provocative actions of the Ukrainian armed force are being created alongside these allegations,” Ushanov said, referring to the Ukraine army plot to retake the Crimean Peninsula.

With all of Biden’s talk of an invasion, Russia’s FSB [formerly KGB] is concerned that the U.S. and Ukraine are planning a military operation to take back Crimea. Ordering diplomatic and civilian personnel out of Kiev, the U.S. has also put the Russian embassy on notice. Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said the Moscow would do the same, removing diplomatic personnel, citing “possible provocation by the Kiev regime and other countries.” “We conclude that our American and British colleagues apparently know about some military actions being prepared in Ukraine,” Zakharova said, showing that all the U.S. Ukraine hysteria has now infected Moscow. With all the threats from both sides, Zelensky pleaded with country to remain calm and not panic. Zelensky, despite all of Sullivan’s dire warnings, said he sees no immediate or future invasion.

Instead of de-escalating the Ukraine crisis today, Biden threw more gasoline on the fire with more idle threats about draconic economic sanctions. “Biden predictably mentioned possible tough anti-Russian sanctions in the context of the tense situation around Ukraine, but that was not the focus of his rather lengthy conversation with the Russian leader,” said Ushanov, talking about today’s phone call. Biden talked about future discussions about security and arms control but did not address Putin’s requests to stop Ukraine’s NATO membership or stop supplying lethal weapons. “But unfortunately, and this was said, these considerations do not touch upon the central, key elements of Russian initiatives,” Ushanov said, making you wonder did Biden forget what the urgent phone call with Putin was about. Biden and his White House team has only barked out threats against Putin and the Kremlin.

Speaking with Putin before his call with Biden, 44-year-old French President Emmanuel Macron followed up on his Feb. 7 Kremlin meeting with Putin. Macron’s been playing “good cop” with Putin, unlike Biden’s “bad cop,” presentation, both don’t seem to have much benefit. Unless Biden addresses Putin’s security requests about NATO’s encroachment in Ukraine and Eastern Europe, the stalemate will continue. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) pleaded with Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) to consider Russia’s side of the Ukraine situation. Durbin endorsed Biden’s view that the U.S. should make no concessions to the Russian Federation, creating the current crisis. Sanders asked Durbin to consider that both sides in the conflict need to be heard, something that hasn’t happened with Biden and his White House team. Speaking with Putin today, Biden made a bad situation worse.
