Raiding the apartment and offices of 75-year-old former New York Major Rudy Giuliani, the Justice Department under 68-year-old Atty. Gen. Merrick Garland delivered the payback against former Trump allies. FBI raided Giuliani’s Upper East Side apartment and offices seeking cell phones and computer files related to his work in Ukraine during the 2020 political campaign. Instead of letting sleeping dogs lie, 78-year-old President Joe Biden has started payback over Giuliani’s investigations in Ukraine at the request of 74-year-old President Donald Trump. While no formal complaint has been filed against Giuliani, the DOJ investigates whether Giuliani worked as a foreign agent without proper registration. Under the Foreign Agents Registration Act [FARA], it requires U.S. citizens to register with the Justice Department for work they do for foreign governments. Giuliani did not register under FARA.

Trump sent Giuliani to Ukraine to investigate whether then Democrat nominee Joe Biden acted improperly in Ukraine while running former President Barack Obama’s anti-corruption task force. Trump was actually impeached for the first time by House Democrats, alleging he engaged in a quid-pro-quo with 43-year-old Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskin, asking the Ukrainian president for information about Joe and his 50-year-old son Hunter Biden. Trump had reason to believe that Joe landed Hunter a lucrative $83,000 a month job at a corrupt Ukrainian energy company, Burisma Holding’s. Hunter and his former business partner Devon Archer were both hired by the Burisma Holdings board to gain access to U.S. energy contracts because of Joe’s role as Vice President. Democrats were concerned Trump and Giuliani were digging up dirt on their candidate.

Raiding Giuliani’s apartment and offices shows that Garland has gone on the offensive to prevent anything derogatory from surfacing about President Joe Biden. When you consider Trump was impeached for seeking information about Biden from Zelensky, it’s no surprise at all the Giuliani would eventually get dragged in to the controversy. Giuliani was asked by former Ukrainiian prosecutor-general Yuriy Lushenko for help with former U.S. Atty. Gen. Bill Barr about recovering Ukrainian assets. While there’s no evidence that Giuliani ever asked Barr for a favor, there’s evidence that Lushenko had problems with U.S. Ukrainian Amb. Maria Yovanovich who was fired by the Secretary of State Mike Pompeo Oct. 11, 2018. There’s reason to believe that Yavanovich cooperated with Garland to seek warrant to raid Giuliani’s apartment and office.

Giuliani insists he was never paid as a foreign agent in Ukraine, but simply worked to ask questions about the Joe and Hunter Biden’s role in Ukraine while serving as Obama’s Vice President. Raiding Giuliani’s offices goes over the top for the DOJ and FBI, investigating past complaints during the 2020 campaign. Instead of following up to see whether there was any substance to Joe and Hunter Biden’s conflicts-of-interest in Ukraine, the DOJ now goes after Giuliani on a phony charge that he made millions lobbying in Ukraine. Amb. Yavanovich wasn’t happy when she lost her job, primarily for stonewalling Giuliani’s investigation into conflicts-of-interest by Joe and Hunter Biden. Let there be no mistake, Giuliani’s been targeted by the DOJ and FBI because he dredged up legitimate dirt on the Biden for what anyone would see as business ties with a corrupt Ukrainian energy company.

Biden was on the record Jan. 23, 2018 telling Council on Foreign Relations that he got Ukrainian state prosecutor Viktor Shokin fired for trying to investigate Burisma Holdings, the firm his son Hunger worked form. At the time Biden’s tape was made public boasting about withholding $1 billion in loan guarantees to Ukraine unless former Ukrainian President Petro Porosehnko fired Shokin, House Democrats were impeaching Trump for exposing Biden’s Ukrainian corruption. Garland has no real case against Giuliani because he was never paid by any Ukrainian entity. But Hunter and his former convicted-felon business partner Devon Archers were engaged in egregious corruption in Ukraine. Two Giuliani assocaties, Lev Parnas and Igor Furman, face federal charges for campaign contributions to a Trump political action committee. Giuliani’s indictment looks based on retaliation from Yavanovich.

Going after Giuliani Biden’s DOJ hopes to put to rest any possible problems for Biden or his son Hunter from their involvement in Ukraine before Joe left office Jan. 20, 2017. Whatever machinations of Rudy’s investigations in Ukraine, it’s clear he wasn’t paid by any known clients, making registration under the Foreign Agents Registration Act [FARA] unnecessary. Whatever happened in the 2020 campaign, the media did a masterful job of covering up Joe and Hunter’s unethical ties to Burisma holdings, where Hunter and Archer made millions over a five year period. Hunter admitted Oct. 15, 2019 on Good Morning America that it was probably not a good idea to have worked on Burisma Holding’s Board. He also admitted that it’s doubtful he would have got the job without his father’s influence. Harassing Giuliani is the DOJ’s way of stopping any more inquires into Joe and Hunter.
