Talking crazy today about locking up Philadelphia election officials for breaking federal law, 77-year-old former House Speaker Newt Gingrich went off the rails, joining 74-year-old President Donald Trump and the right wing media claiming election fraud. Trump demanded that election officials stop counting votes after Nov. 3, despite the consensus that counting mail-in ballots would take more time than usual presidential elections. With universal mail-in ballots going out in most states, no one expected the count to be done by Nov. 3, certainly no time close. But as election officials counted ballots after Nov. 3, 77-year-old former Vice President Joe Biden picked up ground, then surpassed Trump in key battleground states of Wisconsin, Michigan, Nevada, Arizona, Pennsylvania and Georgia. Gingrich thinks the ballots used to add to Biden’s totals were fraudulent.

Problem with Gingrich, right wing pundits and Trump campaign officials is they have no facts to back up the fraud claims. If they could present compelling evidence, they might get some folks to listen. But as long as accusations of fraud are not backed up by facts, they’ll fall on deaf ears. Calling out poll workers for “corruption” can’t be supported without some compelling facts, no YouTube.com videos showing unmarked ballots pulled from some unmarked container. Trump’s lawsuits in Michigan, Wisconsin and Georgia, complain that GOP observers were not allowed to get close enough to watch ballots fed into automated counting machines. Whether election officials want to protect workers from harassment does not mean that fraud existed. Trump would make a stronger case for fraud talking about the corrupt media that conspired with the Democrat Party to censor Joe’s egregious corruption.

Gingrich talks out-of-his-hat calling poll workers counting ballots corrupt because they wouldn’t invite Trump observers to watch automated counting machines. But if Trump and Gingrich really think that fraud went on, they should petition a court for injunction relief to take 1,000 random ballots from a box and check them out. “Is that a violation of law? And how do you remedy that?” Fox New Sean Hannity asked, talking to Newt. “The Philadelphia machine is corrupt. The Atlanta machine is corrupt. The machine in Detroit is corrupt. And they are trying to steal the presidency. And we should not allow them to do that,” Newt told Hannity. But simply saying corruption exists without evidence would be laughed out of court. If undo secrecy took place in official ballot-counting sites, then the Trump should petition a federal judge to inspect ballots to check out their veracity.

Trump was no doubt a victim of a conspiracy between the Biden campaign and the mainstream press. When you consider they censored together with big social media the New York Post’s Biden corruption scandal and the public testimony of former Hunter Biden business partner Tony Bobulinksi, Trump and Gingrich might have a shot of getting some sympathy from a federal court. Simply alleging corruption isn’t enough. Trump could ask how it was possible that the votes counted after he was winning Nov. 3 were mostly Democrat votes? That’s a legitimate question, typically as votes come in there’s a mix of votes for both candidates. But what happened on Nov. 4 showed an odd pattern of mostly Biden votes, almost like Trump’s votes evaporated, regardless of the particular counties submitting ballots for counting. Making wild claims of corruption without strong legal arguments look like sour grapes.

No one likes losing elections, certainly not Trump who’s built a remarkable career not taking no for an answer. But with elections, voters have the last say and the last laugh. Unless White House officials can show proof of corruption, they won’t get a judge to order ballot counting centers to give 1,000 ballots for scrutiny. “First of all, under federal law, we should lock up the people who are breaking the law,” Gingrich said, making zero sense. He has no proof of any federal crime committed other, perhaps, not letting Trump monitors to get close enough to ballot counting. “You stop someone from being an observer, you just broke the law . . .” Gingrich insisted. Newt’s showing his age, exchanging irrational statements with Hannity. Unless Newt can show proof that ballot counters were engaged in illegal activity, there’s no reason for any federal judge to grant any injunctive relief.

Gingrich can scream voter fraud from the rafters but unless the Republican National Committee [RNC] has any actual proof, Joe Biden will be declared the winner of the 2020 presidential election. Election officials must look into the advisability of universal mail-in ballots once Covid-19 no longer presents a potential health risk for voters. Whether Trump is right about mail-in voting increasing fraud looks obvious now. Democrats and the media demand proof but if a federal judge doesn’t release 1,000 randomly selected ballots from each battleground state, we’ll never know. One thing’s for sure after four years of Russian hoax, you can’t trust Democrats integrity, especially when it comes to their incestuous relationship with the mainstream press. Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton never accepted the 2016 election. Her bogus “dossier” was used to harass Trump for four years.
