Fired by 73-year-old President Donald Trump May 9, 2017, 59-year-old James Comey got more bad news that so-called “Steele Dossier” he used to obtain warrants for the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act [FISA] Court to investigate the Trump campaign has no underlying data. Steele admitted in a deposition in a lawsuit brought by Russian bankers, that he had zero “primary sub-source” information, all of which was deleted by Steele in 2017. All the horrific accusations against Trump and his campaign made in former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton’s opposition research from FusionGPS has no basis in fact. Comey knew at the time that he duped the FISA Court that there was zero credibility to the Steele Dossier, yet used it anyway to wiretap the Trump campaign, but, more importantly, used it as probable cause or “predicate” for an illegal counterintelligence investigation.

Revelations from Steele’s deposition in the Russian defamation suit come after Department of Justice Inspector General [IG] Michael Horowitz released footnotes of his Dec. 9, 2019 report showing that the Steele Dossier was replete with Russian disinformation, something Comey knew at the time he gave it so much weight to justify Crossfire Hurricane, the counterintelligence probe supposed to prove Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election. Steele’s dossier was so shoddy, that Steele himself never met the “primary sub-source” that supplied wild allegations about the Trump campaign. Before Comey got his hands on the Steele Dossier, the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) reviewed the material in July 2016, knowing it was Hillary’s opposition research but still gave it to Comey. McCaine’s vendetta with Trump ran deep, would do anything to stop him from becoming president.

IG Horowitz confirmed that the Steele Dossier played a “central role” in the FBI’s case to the FISA court to obtain warrants to wiretap Trump’s campaign. Horowitz said that “FBI officials at every level,” including Comey, believed the Steele dossier was credible. Yet 69-year-old Atty. Gen. William Barr and his primary investigator into the origin the Russian probe 70-year-old U.S. Atty. John Durham (R-Conn.) don’t believe that Comey or anyone at the FBI believed the Steele Dossier had credibility. Barr and Durham are looking into the chain of command at the Department of Justice [DOJ] and FBI that led to Crossfire Hurricane, the counterintelligence probe into the Trump campaign. Barr and Durham want to know whether the attempt to sabotage Trump’s campaign was originated with Comey and other key members of FBI brass or was directed by the DOJ and Oval Office.

Steele’s deposition reveals a far more disturbing pattern than the wild allegations made in the dossier. “As I understand your position, you have no contemporaneous notes or emails, save for your notes of interactions with the FBI; that is right?” the Russian banker’s lawyer asked Steele. “I believe that is true, Yes,” Steele replied. Steele confirmed that any documents related to Russian bankers were deleted but all other documents underlying the intelligence report “were wiped in early January 2017,” two months after Trump was elected president. Steele also confirmed that all communications with Glen Simpson of FusionGPA were also deleted from the company’s Orbis computers network Jan. 5, 2017. Steele’s actions constitute the most egregious “obstruction of justice” case imaginable, despite the fact that Comey and other FBI brass knew the Steele Dossier was utter garbage.

Comey lied under oath to at least two Congressional Committees, denying that he illegally spied on the Trump campaign. Comey insisted he had appropriate “predicate” or probable cause, despite the fact he relied heavily on the Steele Dossier given to him by Sen. McCain. Yet the former chief Judge of the FISA Court Rosemary Collyer lambasted the FBI Dec. 17, 2019 for duping her Court to get warrants to wiretap the Trump campaign with utterly bogus probable cause. What Barr and Durham want to find out is who ordered the FBI’s Operation Crossfire Hurricane. Both want to know whether it was a rogue FBI operation led by Comey or was authorized at the highest levels of the Justice Department, including 60-year-old former Atty. Gen. Loretta Lynch or 55-year-old former National Security Adviser Susan Rice, going all way to the West Wing with 58-year-old former President Barack Obama.

When Horowitz released his report Dec. 9, 2019, he didn’t look into the very real possibility that Comey had no legal basis to investigate the Trump campaign. Comey insisted since getting fired May 9, 2017, before former Deputy Atty. Gen. Rod Rosenstein appointed Bob Mueller as Special Counsel May 17, 2017, that Crossfire Hurricane was an illegal counterintelligence probe into Trump, designed for one thing, to get Hillary elected president. Horowitz was too mired in DOJ and FBI procedures to look at the bigger picture that the Steele Dossier was rotten to the core, along with top officials at the FBI, DOJ and National Security Agency [NSA]. Former National Security Adviser Susan Rice admitted to “unmasking” wiretapped conversations between former National Seucurity Adviser Gen. Michael Flynn and former Russian Amb. Sergei Kislyak. All this corruption is about to come out.
