Retiring from a 22-year-career at the FBI, 49-year-old Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe exercised his option for early retirement, deciding to leave his post immediately, sparing himself and his family any more embarrassment. McCabe led the FBI’s 2016 FBI investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton’s email controversy, eventually exonerating her July 6, 2016, only two weeks before the Democratic National Convention. McCabe’s team rewrote criminal laws, ignoring the fact that Hillary destroyed 33,000 emails and physically destroyed at least 13 mobile phones, warranting, under today’s criminal statutes, obstruction of justice charges. McCabe didn’t like answering questions about his wife Jill who received thousands-of-dollars from Virginia Gov. Terry McCauliffe’s Political Action Committee for her failed 2016 Virginia Senate run.
Media reports blame McCabe’s early retirement on President Donald Trump’s harassment because of the Russian investigation. When you consider McCabe was closely tied to former FBI Director James Comey’s exoneration of Hillary, it’s no wonder Trump has given McCabe a hard time. Trump isn’t trying to obstruct justice, he’s trying through Twitter and any other means to tell the true story about his campaign getting wiretapped by the FBI, Justice Department and National Security Agency. House Intelligence Committee Co-Chairman Devin Nunes’s (R-Calif.) “secret memo” has rocked the media establishment, worried that releasing the memo would harm U.S. national security. Justice Department Deputy Atty. Gen. Stephen Boyd warned Nunez last week to not release the memo because it would compromise classified material and state secrets.
Contained in Nunez’s memo are the sequence of events that led to Trump and his campaign associates getting wiretapped by the FBI, Justice Department and National Security Agency. Nunez connects the dots from former President Barack Obama, Atty. Gen. Loretta Lynch, National Security Adviser Suaan Rice and former FBI Director James Comey, all of whom sought warrants from the FISACourt to wiretap Trump and associates during the 2016 presidential campaign. Nunez’s memo exposes an egregious abuse of the U.S. national security apparatus to sabotage Trump’s campaign. When you consider that Comey coordinated with Lynch, Rice and other White House officials to wiretap Trump’s campaign , it far exceeds Watergate as the most egregious scandal in U.S. history. How that compromises U.S. national security is anyone’s guess.
McCabe became interim FBI Director when Trump fired Comey May 9. Democrats and their media friends insist that Trump fired Comey to obstruct the FBI investigation into alleged collusion in the 2016 campaign. “I can tell you the vast majority, the vast majority of FBI employees, enjoyed a deep and positive connection to Director Comey,” McCabe said May 10, 2017 after Trump fired Comey. McCabe responded to Trump’s s tweets that rank-and-file agents had lost confidence with Comey. McCabe didn’t admit that Comey overstepped his boundaries in the Hillary email investigation. Defending Comey led Trump to ignore McCabe as possible replacement from Comey. McCabe could never be honest about Comey’s treatment of the Hillary email investigation. Comey refused to answer any questions to the House and Senate Intelligence and Judiciary Committees about whether or not he went to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act [FISA] Court to get warrants to wiretap.
McCabe’s brief limelight faded quickly as he was seen as supporting the FBI investigation of Trump and campaign associates. He wasn’t able to get behind defending Comey, not admitting that he and senior FBI leadership held biases against Trump that affects today’s investigation into Russian collusion. Nunez’s secret memo threatens McCabe and senior FBI leadership for using Hillary’s paid opposition research AKA “dossier” as probable cause in FISA Court to obtain warrants to wiretap Trump campaign associates. Retiring early, McCabe hopes to spare himself more embarrassment, if not culpability for exploiting the FISA Court to obtain warrants to wiretap Trump’s campaign. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), speaking today on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” said that Nunez’s secret memo should not be made public at this time, due to U.S. national security.
McCabe’s early retirement speaks volumes about how newly minted FBI Director Christopher Wray needs to clean house with senior FBI leadership. With FBI Special Agent Peter Szrok and his mistress FBI attorney Lisa Page trading text messages denouncing presidential candidate Trump, it showed a concerted bias inside the FBI. When you consider Comey got warrants to wiretap Trump campaign officials using Hillary’s paid opposition research it makes FBI bias all the more egregious. McCabe’s decision to retire early related to his role in exonerating Hillary and participating in wiretapping Trump campaign officials. When Nunes’s secret memo hits the airwaves, it’s going to knock-the-socks off press skeptics. When you think of all Hillary’s shenanigan’s during the 2016 campaign, the FBI’s misdeeds should surprise no one.
