Getting a whole lot closer to a safe-and-effective vaccine, 80-year-old National Institutes of Health [NIH] chief Allergy and Infectious Disease Dr. Anthony Fauci warned that new vaccines in the pipeline won’t kill the virus or prevent the virus from penetrating the human body. Fauci’s concerns raise even more problems for the public-at-large with vaccine-fatigue stemming from bad public vaccines received in the public sphere. Fauci’s remarks are sure to reduce the percentage of the public willing to get vaccinated, fearing the health risks from vaccines. Former Vice President Joe Biden, 77, and his 56-year-old running mate Kamala Harris have warned the public they would not trust a vaccine coming from 74-year-old President Donald Trump, as if Trump has influence over today’s competitive vaccine makers. Fauci, Biden and Harris have unnecessarily scared the public.

AztraZeneca, Pfizer, BioNTech, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson have nothing to do with the White House or any Republican or Democrat lobbying organization. Now completing Phase 3 trials to determine safety-and-effectiveness, no public health expert or politician should be frightening the public from taking an FDA approved vaccine. “The primary thing you want to do is that if people get infected, prevent them from getting sick, and if you prevent them from getting sick, you will ultimately prevent them from getting seriously ill,” Fauci said, trying to explain how the vaccine works. If you listen to Fauci, you’d think the vaccine isn’t effective unless it prevents the virus from infecting patents, not whether it controls symptoms. Fauci jointed forces with Biden and Harris, questioned Trump management of the coronavirus AKA SARS CoV-2 or Covid-19 global pandemic.

Recent polls show that despite the dangers of the novel coronavirus, only 40% of the public would be willing to take a vaccine even it if its safe-and-effective. Public reticence has been based on Fauci, Biden and Harris scaring the public that somehow Trump has his hands in the vaccine. So much disinformation comes from U.S. politicians and the media that supports them. Today’s study from Media Research Center shows that 92% of reporting by major news outlets is negative for Trump, attesting to the pernicious propaganda traveling across the U.S. airwaves. Federal Communication Commission Chairman Ajit Pai has done nothing to sue major broadcast and print outlets for violating their First Amendment charters to get factual information, not propaganda, to the American public. Statements by Fauci, Biden and Harris about new Covid-19 vaccines is one case in point.

Fauci has breached his duty as a public servant, collecting a hefty government salary at the NIH, sold by the media as “the nation’s leading expert on infectious disease.” Whatever Fauci’s position and experience, he’s not the nation’s leading expert on anything so close to retirement. There are far more qualified epidemiologists and infectious disease experts in their prime at major medical institutions around the country. But the reason Biden and Harris quote Fauci is because he seeks to keep Trump from a second term. Telling the public not to trust any one of the new Covid-19 vaccines does the public a real disservice. “What I would settle for, and all my colleagues would settle for, is the primary endpoint to prevent clinically recognizable disease,” Fauci told Yahoo Finance, whose editor-in-chief Andy Sewer is rabidly anti-Trump, willing to do anything to see him defeated Nov. 3.

When the first vaccines hit the market later this month, you’d think the public would line up to get vaccinated. When you listen to Fauci, he’s making ambiguous statements to the public because at no time in U.S. history have this many vaccine makers under Trump’s Operation Warp Speed come up with so many vaccines. Instead of praising Trump for moving the timetable up for vaccine development, Fauci, Biden and Harris have scared off the public, essentially undermining today’s biotech research. Fauci, Biden and Harris are the first ones to complain about “spikes” or “second waves” with Covid-19 cases, blaming the growing mortality rate on Trump. But if you look at the facts, Trump has done more to develop a vaccine and effective treatments than any elected officials in the country. Fauci, Biden and Harris should be praising Trump for getting the ball moving so quickly.

Since Covid-19 is Democrats primary campaign strategy against Trump, they have to promote the situation as hopeless before Election Day, continuing to blame Trump for the lack of progress. Today’s media will run down everything Trump does to help Biden and Harris defeat him Nov. 3. Getting Fauci to play along shows the extent to which Covid-19 has been politicized in the 2020 election. Whether you have a vaccine that prevents symptoms from developing or a vaccine that blocks the virus from entering the human body, it makes no difference. Asymptomatic cases don’t frighten most people more than cases that develop serious side effects like heart and lung problems. Fauci should have sold the public on advantages of a vaccine, not join Biden and Harris on running Trump down. Politics should be pushed aside at the NIH to change public attitudes about new vaccines.
